at least Vince mcmahon made the right decision as far as the WWE was concerned....they circled the wagons and are distancing themselves as far from this as possible. the WWE can't even hint at the fact they are mourning a guy who, as far as anyone knows, killed his wife, kid then himself, regardless of how great a wrestler or performer he was

This was not roid rage. It lasted for the entire weekend. Plus he tied up his wife. It had been simple roid rage he would have gone off right away and not spent the time to tie up his wife.

The Steroids found were legal prescriptions according to all reports. Though other details haven't been released. But if they had been prescribed to his son I very much doubt the police would be making a point of releasing info that he was given roids to his son.

lol i've been... you've been to a sporting event right? Sporting events have alot on the line for people to root for, where as a Tv show really doesnt. in a real sporting event the title is earned... in wrestling and tv shows it's scripted and used to bring in more fans... to keep the ratings up. sports could care less about ratings, they just want to win
That's what I was saying. :o
He might not have been right in the head (that is debatable), but there is no question this was calculated. The Bibles speak volumes for this. He even sent messages to others to keep them away while he did this.

He sent messages telling people to come to his house.

QFT. This was obviously something much deeper and more disturbing.

I've been kind of watching and reading this thread for awhile. I don't follow wrestling at all, but I'm appalled at some people who still seem to idolize this man. I'm sorry, but Chris Benoit could have cured cancer, but that would never excuse the fact that what he did was reprehensible and unforgivable. He should only be remembered from here on as a Scott Peterson or an O.J. Simpson should be remembered; as a blight on humanity.

That is until he kills too.:o

Thank you. I used to follow wrestling years ago and I can understand how some look up to wrestlers. But this is just something else entirely. This is something to the degree where it really doesn't matter what you did in your life up to that point, its that horrible thing Benoit did is what will define him and what he will be remembered as. Its not going to be "Remember Benoit that guy who used to be a great wrestler?"

The sad part about the realm of the mind is that it's so much easier to see your own view on the killer's motive. In this case, I don't think there will ever be a definitive answer. The anabolic steroid explanation sounds iffy at best, and this was just too methodical to be considered an act of rage. In the end, there's only one person who knows why this happened...and he hung himself.

Yeah, evidenlty he killed his wife on Saturday, his son on Sunday, then himself on Monday. Not mention the Bibles.

This seemed very thought out, & methodical. This seems very, very wrong. This doesn't even seem like the mind of a depressed person. I hope this doesn't turn into what it kind of seems like.

There, I removed my avatar that way people can stop *****ing about it.

Once again, I don't condone what he did at all. No one deserves to have a life taken from them in such a fashion. I don't care how pissed off a person gets or what they're going through in their life, for them to take a life that isn't their's to take and to take the life of a child is disgusting and something only a monster would do.

The fact that Will, Patent, and others are twisting my words and trying to make it seem like I'm honoring and accepting murder is laughable and stupid on their part. I didn't think humanity could get any dumber, but boy, they sure proved me wrong with the constant posts of them mocking the deaths of Benoit, his wife, and his son.

For them to be so disgusted and "outraged" by the act, they sure find it funny and mock the situation. My feelings are of extreme disgust, disappointment, and shock. I didn't think Benoit would be capable of doing such a terrible act to his own family. But I was wrong and I can admit that I was wrong.

Might want to take it out of the sig and title as well because it kind of signifies the same thing. Plus I wasn't mocking their deaths. Not sure where you got that from.

Honoring the man as a great wrestler, not honoring what he did. Learn the difference or educate yourself on phrases themselves.

Honoring the person would say "Long live a great man in Chris Benoit." But whatever, what's done is done. I'm truly ashamed of posters like you, Will, and a host of others who were judging others and trying to make light of the situation.

If you are ashamed. Then why did you back down, & take your sig down, & Avatar?
