"Chris Brown could beat me up all he wants." Says 25 Women via Twitter.

Didn't she put her hands on him first? Sounds like they're both made for each other honestly.
Go back and read the report. He beat the living hell out of her. Not only that, he got away with it. And anyone who gets away with something once, will almost certainly do it again. She takes him back, he's going to beat her again. And that time, she won't have anyone to blame but herself.

Not to defend him, but testimony tends to be emotional and unreliable.

Why are we assuming Rihanna took him back instead of vice versa?

Charles Manson gets marriage proposals all the time...this is small potatoes
As much as I hate wife beaters, the women who validate and empower them are almost just as bad.

:hq:

Rihanna and Brown are back together. Those crazy kids. Society can't keep love apart.

So not only does she look stupid most of the time, and sound stupid when she talks or sings, but she actually IS stupid.

That makes sense I guess.

I don't know how this behavior could surprise anyone that actually pays attention to the world. I have known a ton of women who can't get enough of abusive (in one way or another) *****es, as long as they look good, have money, or **** the hell out of them. This behavior is fairly common. The majority of people (women included) are stupid as hell. Best just to let them be. Brown has looks, money, fame, and a big ****. Thats all many women need to know.

Nah, it's best to call them stupid as often and as loudly as possible, because, well, they're stupid, and the more you reinforce it, the faster they'll begin to pick it up.

So what kind of primal instinct forces a woman to pursue brutal, sadistic thugs who beat them to death?

Any evolutionary psychologist ups in this piece?

Wait...you've seen Brown's asterisk-asterisk-asterisk-asterisk?

If this is true, she's even more stupid than the women this whole thread was started about. How f***ing dumb would you have to be to take back someone who did that to you?

That's nothing. A buddy of mine was telling me about his sister-in-law. She was in a mutually physically abusive relationship. The penultimate showdown was a knife fight between her and her boyfriend that ended up with both in the hospital and with her nearly dying.

They got back together.

At some point after that she finally broke it off with him after he gave her a beatdown that would make the Chris Brown/Rihanna incident look like a couple lovetaps. That's right, lying in the hospital nearly dead with knife wounds wasn't enough to make her think that he might not be "The One".

Love makes you absolutely unreasonable; it makes you put up with things you'd never dream you'd let someone else go through. It's easy for us to say an abuse victim is stupid, but it's not fair. The majority of abused partners stay in the relationship and allow it to continue because they love the person abusing them. There's no explanation other than that. Maybe you have to have gone through something similar to understand... actually, no, you don't.

My mother-in-law was a battered woman. My wife's father beat her quite a lot. He beat her pretty bad, too. Luckily, that bastard died while my wife was a teenager. I love this woman to death, but I just cannot get my head around why she stayed with him. She left him, went back to him. Nothing changed. Only his death made it stop.

Wait...you've seen Brown's asterisk-asterisk-asterisk-asterisk?

No but I have heard several women talking about it, there was a cell phone pic leaked online apparently. Could have been bull**** though. Still a valid point about the value system of many women.

Daddy issues, always daddy issues. That **** always comes around to them not having a father figure or a ****ed up father figure. It's not empowerment or whatever buzzwords they're trying to pawn it off as.

I saw it. Not purposefully. But the rumors are true. It was pretty disgusting, actually. :down

So, you're saying, as someone who was abused by someone I love, I have daddy issues? That's really ignorant. It sounds like you're saying it's their fault for going back to the abuser. No, the person shouldn't be beating their partner in the first place.

There's more going on there, that's all it is.
