Quite simple - Does Christmas make you fuzzy and warm or does it represent a depressing time of self induced loathing....

I am a fan. It is just all the shopping I can't stand. But sadly any holiday can be exploited...

*Waits for the sequel of this thread* --> Valentines Day - A Fan or Worst time of the Year

:hrt: or :cmad:

:hehe:

When I was a kid I loved it. Now it's just a hassle. Everything comes to a halt. All my shows take breaks. Banks and stores close for the entire day. Family suddenly wants to behave like a family. It's Christmas Christmas Christmas for an entire month. Just gets tedious. But I love my week long paid vacation, and my Christmas bonus!

Oh and all the sales on electronics and movies and books is really great too!

I lost my cat this year, so the whole season is just very annoying to me. I want it to go away. >_>

Aww, I'm sorry.

But as for the question to this thread, I'm a fan.

I love Christmas. :hrt::hrt:

A fan. Christmas brightens up the worst season of the year. Just notice how drab winter is once Christmas is over.

I ****ing hate Christmas.

Everything gets busy, the money is tighter, you're expected to buy people you can barely tolerate gifts, even though they probably won't get you anything or something thoughtless. And then there's the obligatory family dinner... And people expect you to be happy through it all.

It's just an unpleasant chore.

The only upside is Black Friday.

I just wish it didn't have to be every year.

I enjoy shopping for my kids and then watching them open up their presents on Christmas morning. That I am a fan of. The rest of what goes along with Christmas (seeing relatives that I don't see any other time of the year, the crowded stores, etc...) I could do without.

Decorating is my favorite part of Christmas. I get all excited when I start to decorate my Living Christmas tree. Hehe.

Shopping can get annoying though but the wost is listening to my family complain about being stressed.

Also the annoying chatter about "What are you doing these daaays".. "how is schoooool".. "do you woooooork"... "you seeing anyone?"... "what classes are you taking" ... :o

You asked me all this on Thanksgiving! Enough already!! :cmad:

When i had to deal with annoying relatives, i hated Christmas. But now that i only get together with relatives i like, i enjoy it :woot:

I like the food, rest and gifts.

I dislike when Christmas chatter begins in Oct. I feel like the holiday should be over already.

Thank you. Maine Coons are a very lovable, playful breed of feline. I really fell in love with her and thought of her like a child.

I named her Pipsy, after the character in Diddy Kong Racing.

I lost my beloved Anat on December 1, 2011. I have another cat, Noelle, whom I adore, but Anat was my special cat....I don't know if I'll ever have another cat like her. So I understand your pain. :(

Aw, I'm sorry for your loss, too. =<

Thanks. But having Noelle helped a lot! She is my silly girl. She is very different from Anat (also known more commonly as Princess). Princess was, well, very aristcatic. Noelle does not share that trait. Princess was dignified. Noelle knows no such word.

It's good to hear that you have someone to help fill the void. I wear a dogtag around my neck with Pipsy's name on it.

I have another cat named Chip (Who is Pipsy's brother) who helps to comfort me. He's grayish-black with stripes. Very playful.

Every now and then I find myself getting in the Christmas spirit, wanting to watch a holiday movie or wrap presents, but then I think of Pipsy, and I just get angry about the whole holiday. I guess time will heal the wound.. :csad:

From Thanksgiving to the first week of January, good times. Love the holiday season.

Just love on Chip, and be kind to yourself. Did you lose Pipsy very suddenly?
