Tarantino, easily. Nolan hasn't made anything as good as Pulp Fiction, Jackie Brown or Inglorious Basterds. And i just think Tarantino is a more interesting film maker. He's also much, much better at writing.

This is a subtle form of torture.

My first instinct was Tarantino, but thinking about it from a re-watchable stand point, I've got to go with Nolan.

Has Tarantino "crapped" on them though? If he has, give us a link. As far as I know, Q simply said, something along the lines of "Fans wouldn't be happy with my adapting a super hero comic since I straight up would change too much for their liking". And... Bravo for him for being so forthright about it, I say.

Yeah. If IIRC, I think it was that he would rather be able to create his own material for one.

What did you think of his Superman monologue?

It's a very interesting, if flawed summation of a POV of the Silver Age Superman of the Curt Swan era... One I find totally full of ****. :woot:

What I really love is that there are indeed Superman fans that use it as justification of what ever point they are trying to make about the Man of Steel while totally ignoring that Tarantino has a FREAKING SUPER VILLAIN make said points... So, yeah.

Perhaps there is some wisdom there but like a lot of critiques of the Superman mythos it's just off the mark by a bit.

Well, I just has a smile on my face the whole time. David Carradine talking about a superhero was beautiful to me. May he RIP.

One night in Bangkok and the world's your oyster!

That a Super Villain in a Tarantino film has a 3 minute monologue about Superman and that the villain is played by David Carradine is indeed the SHIZ-NIT. The Kill Bill world is really Q's fantasy genre mashup world that I hope he returns to again someday. Hell, I would KILL (yeah, I know... BOOOOOOOOO. :woot:) for a story where the Bride has to fight off Bill's enemies that are out for B.B.'s blood to get revenge on Bill, and we get flashbacks to learn how Bill became Bill, with Hanzo, the White Lotus Master, and some crazy F-Uped James Bond type international man of mystery **** like DIABOLIK, all done by Q.

A boy can dream.

Tarantino easily, his movies made me appreciate and understand cinema on a deeper level. He a lot more nuaced and his movies are extremely engaging regardless of how many times I watch them.

Nolan is very talented, he makes very good/effective films and I apprecaite his ambition, however I think Tarantino is on a different league.

Nolan, easily. Love Tarantino, but Nolan's my favourite.

Tarantino. No contest for me.

Nolan's a unique crowd-pleaser, but is usually too clever by half.

I wouldn't want either of them to be erased. They're both too talented and important.

Just erase Brett Ratner and keep both.

I'd give it to Nolan. This one was a lot more easier to decide than Spielberg/ Scorsese.

Quentin Tarantino
No contest.
Couldn't care less about Nolan or his movies.

Voted Tarantino. His films are a different level than Nolan. Nolan makes blockbusters that smart compared to most other blockbusters.

Nolan - loved Batman too much, including Interstellar, Inception & The Prestige.
Tarantino doesn't do much for me. Pulp Fiction, whatever. I liked Inglorious Basterds and Django but Inglorious more. I'm honestly not all excited for his next film. It all feels kind of the same to me, lots of violence (which doesn't bother me). But he comes off as this director that's like "why isn't grind house used anymore? that should like still be a thing. why does it all have to be digital and not on 8mm film maaaan." His films are entertaining but no good stories imo. They are cheap thrills kinda where something Nolan offers in comparison addresses certain themes, issues. Again, cheap entertainment that is just fun I have no problem with, some of my favorite movies are but when faced with the decision I am going Nolan. Quentin never gave me some deep understanding and appreciation of cinema and film as one person put (no offense) that was more like Kubrick and Scorsese for example.

Both of them have made films that are in my top 10 - Memento and Pulp Fiction - so this one is just as difficult as Scorsese and Spielberg.

Ahhh, I don't know maybe I'd give the edge to Tarantino due to his outlandish style.

Love both. Nolan is the best no doubt. Nolan is too dang good and he hasn't even scratched the service. Every movie is different as in Q has a set formula. Even though I will watch his movies.

LMAO at all the Nolan fan boys in here. This isn't even close.

That spielberg/scorsese poll though, man.....

My point exactly, not a bad thing but break free take some risks.

Yes, how dare we have an opinion where you are I'm guessing objective.

This one should be a lot closer than the Spielberg/Scorsese poll. Even though I voted for Spielberg I said it's mighty close.
