Fantasy Christopher Nolan's The Odyssey

I’m pretty sure he went to the premiere of O Brother Where Art Thou.

I’m currently reading through Edith Hamilton’s Mythology, and she makes an interesting point about Greek Mythology that makes me feel like Nolan may have read it as well, and The Odyssey may actually be to his taste:

It may seem odd to say that the men who made the myths disliked the irrational and had a love for facts; but it is true, no matter how wildly fantastic some of the stories are. Anyone who reads them with attention discovers that even the most nonsensical take place in a world which is essentially rational and matter-of-fact. Hercules, whose life was one long combat against preposterous monsters, is always said to have had his home in the city of Thebes. The exact spot where Aphrodite was as born of the foam could be visited by an ancient tourist; it was just offshore from the island of Cythera.

I can't wait for Odysseus and Circe to wax philosophy while bathing naked on her island.

I feel like there isn't even a long list of films that have been shot entirely on IMAX digital cameras so the fact that we're getting all of this in 70MM IMAX is impressive, especially since it should be well north of two hours.
