I didn't see it either until another poster pointed it out. It makes way too much sense seeing how interested Jimmy was in Clark throughout the film.

Not really. He was just happy to see Clark at the beginning.

Jimmys a good guy and would have acted that way with anyone. If Lois left and returned, he probably would have baked a cake too.

He honestly seemed more concerned with keeping his job and trying to get a good picture of Superman.

He knew he was coming back. It seemed Clark already made arrangements with Perry to return and get his job back....

Jimmy obviously found out.

Lois seemed to be aware that Clark was returning also when she first saw him. She prolly knew beforehand like the others.

She wasnt like 'Clark, what are you doing here!?"..... she was like "hey Clark, welcome back"

I'm sorry, but I did sort of get that vibe from Jimmy. It didn't bother me and it actually made me laugh. I love that Huntington kid, but I did get that vibe. However, I hope that it is maybe my own damn fault and misshaped mind at play...not necessarily what was there in the movie.

Olsen (as a character) does feel a natural respect and admiration for Clark Kent. I've always thought that Jimmy does see past the glasses to the integrity of the man beneath and that is why he respects CK a lot. I mean who in the hell shouldn't respect Superman even if he is disguised...except for Lois who is excused because he loves her

Men don't have a problem with two homosexuals who look like models and are women, but they have a problem with Rosie O'Donnell because she is not a model.

LOL...generalization for sure, but though I got that vibe in the movie...it was really only because of the cake scene and what I read on the boards. I got it from the cake scene because I have never yet met a man who will bake a cake for another man.

What you miss friend is if this subtext is real it adds more depth to the character and it makes the performance greater since so many (including me) missed it.
