It's simple: just list that classic movie everyone but you saw already. And add the reason why you haven't seen it yet.. if you feel like it. The only rule: no movies from the 90s or 2000s. Let's keep it real classic -- sure there are movies from the last two decades that could be considered classic already -or will be in the near future- but we're talking strictly classic material ("an artistic work of lasting worth")..

I'll start with Gone with the Wind. Always missed it on tv..

Embarrassed to say it...but I have never seen Casablanca or Gone With The Wind.
I don't know why. I have nothing against these films, I just don't have a desire to see them.
It's definitely not because they are long movies, I watched and loved Napolean 1927, which is a 6 hour long silent film.

duck soup. or any marx brothers films, for that matter.

Any of the Godfathers or Scarface. Just no interest in them, really.

I'm actually having a hard time coming up with any.....it's all the older movies (classics and non) that I watched the most growing up. I'll have to wait and see if someone posts something I haven't seen.

godfather (all of them)
CK
metropolis
nosferatu
casablanca

and you know what, I'm perfectly fine with that.

Gone With the Wind and Lawrence of Arabia. I have both on DVD though... it's just a long watch to fit into the schedule.

Breakfast at Tiffany's is a classic movie I haven't seen yet.

I love old movies. Honestly, there are Marx Bros movies that funnier than comedies that are being made today, Casablanca has one of the best endings ever, and if you're not moved by the ending of It's a Wonderful Life, you have no soul. :oldrazz:

If you're any kind of a film fanatic, movies like Citizen Kane and Mr. Smith Goes to Washington are a must.

My mom and sister are coming over next weekend so we can watch Gone With the Wind together. Such a great movie.

Scarface. I even have it on DVD. I just haven't bothered to see it yet.

That's an amazing movie, because it's just as timely now as it was in 1939.

A little trivia about it - the boy who played the Senate page who befriends Jimmy Stewart was also the voice of Pinocchio.

Not sure how old this post is because I didn't bother to look if this thread was made today or in the past but make sure to check that one out.

Everything listed in this thread with the exception of Psycho (which I liked, but was disappointed that I knew the twist beforehand) and part of Citizen Kane (which bored the crap out of me). The only movie of those mentioned that I haven't seen that I want to is Nosferatu.

Is it weird that I have no desire to see Gone With the Wind?

No.

I'd find it weird to have a desire to see it (unless you're a film student or something, then you kinda have to).
