Comics Clayton Crain on Sensational Spiderman

^*drools* Some of the most gorgeous work I've ever seen. I've got one of the covers as a wallpaper on my desktop. You have to admire someone who could put that much detail and effort into something that is produced monthly.

I think his work is something that has to grow on you. I didn't really like it too much in Venom Vs. Carnage. But in the Ghost Rider mini I really liked it and it had a nice fit.

It was pretty good in the latest Sensational issue, but it just seems that Crain's style doesn't fit too well with a book like Spider-Man, much like I felt that Deodato didn't really fit Amazing Spider-Man after Sins Past. :o

I think overall he doesn't fit well with spidey, but considering the current mood of Sensational, he's a nice choice. Sacasa has a much darker undertone that fits well with Crain and Medina's styles. However, I agree he definitely doesn't fit the current mood of ASM and FNSM which ultimately have a much more spidey-esque feel to them.
