Sadly no - I wasn't there.

But even the shotty bootleg is enough to give me chills - I can make out the pumpkin bomb scene enough to squee - same with venom, though it's hard to see his tongue - definately doesn't do it justice at all I'm sure.

Sorry but sarcasm is in my nature. If I may recomend some other Immediate Music tracks that prove awsome if you decide to go rogue (reynolds style) and download off of limewire -

Arcana (Chrous)
Blasphemy
Final Omen
Lacrimosa (Trailer music from Spiderman 2 Trailer - Amazing Track)
Rising Empire (X-3 Trailer music)
Serenata
Ultimatum

Those are the ones i'd recomend if you're interested

I am very interested and I thank you! :D :D

Actually Anjow, I found this website of composer Paul Houseman...it's decent stuff and for free. If you're interested...

oh man my only regret is that no one asked raimi to play it again damn, plus almost everyone asked the same question, even a little kid,"Mr grace how was it to play venom" although I don't blame them

they showed the preview right before the sony panel, I think it was john knoll he explained the fx for part 2 and even showed some funny stuff like jones tentacles twirling and misbehaving and the pirates dancing, in the scene with keira were she has two swords in the beach fighting davey jone's crew they did a little SW joke and added lightsabers replacing keiras two swords with sound and everything, then when we though the panel was over, he said that gore an him putted a little preview of pirates 3 and then showed it to us,like the spidey preview it hadmany early rough cgi shots, one that stays in my mind was ofdavey jones and jack swordfighting on top of the mast of one of the ships, plus they showed chowyung fat's character a singapour pirates that punches jack in the face while talking to him pretty funny it was, oh they showed that jack and barbosa will be hanging together too. Pretty cool stuff.

I can't understand why this footage isn't clear, you would think someone would have their camera focused before hand. Either way, the footage looks great, even though some of it is unfinished, it still looks great.

Well I was there at Comic-Con and the reason why there have been no really good vids of this yet is simple - security was tight as hell. They said before hand that you were not allowed to have ANYTHING with picture taking abilty in your hand during the trailer. They even warned that security would be going around during the trailer with night vision looking for people attempting to record it. That wasn't an empty threat cause I really did see them waking around with night vision scopes attempting to bust people.

So whoever recorded this was slick as hell and using something very small to of gotten this out of there. There were 6000+ people in that room and this is the only video of it I've seen thus far.

I can't wait for the real finished thing though...

I wonder when we'll see the teaser, quite weird security there with night vision though. hehe

The video of the footage was recorded with a digital camera in mpeg mode, not a digital camcorder, that's the reason for the lack of zoom, the out of focus and the shakiness. You can turn off the display screen on the thing, so it's practically in stealth mode, unlike a cellphone and it also doesn't have the red led on at front like a camcorder.

You've got nothing to defend, Duende Verde - for a digital camera that ain't bad.

I'm thankful for what we got. You got the sound really well too.

um, i guess someone could email it to you
but youd need the FLV player

FLV
i never heard of it before today either
but to save vids from YouTube, you have to save them as FLV files
its complicated

I contemplated recording during the Pirates 3 footage, but I wussed out and decided not to. I noticed the person in front of me record with his digital camera, but as soon as the trailer footage came up I watched the screen intently. After it was over and the lights went on again, I noticed that the guy in front of me was no longer there...

damn i checked youtube for a clip from head of state with chris rock....would be so perfect right now......."SECURITY (que the weird music)" hahahah

OH crap they removed the footage but at least we have all of this great news from the Comic-Con.I don't know about this Harry not being either GG or Hobgoblin. He has to have some sort of alter-ego.It would be pretty lame if he's just Harry.Thank you Sam Raimi for giving us a comic accurate Venom:up:

based on how wild the reaction was to the clip of Venom at the end it almost sounded like people didn't catch the split second of Venom around the 10 second mark. it happens so fast I wouldn't be surprised. I don't think there are any other Venom shots in the trailer after that till the surprise ending. beautifully done, too. I've never seen a trailer treated like a movie or hidden track on CD where ya think it's over and then days later a gift waits for you! usually the gift happens immediately after the title and opening date announcement, this one lurked in the shadows for a good 5-6 seconds before coming into light and even after you see Brock fall there's another 3 second gap before the camera rushes Venom's mouth. the trailer looked so rough and incomplete it's obvious that it won't be ready for a while.

Sony is genius when it comes to marketing Spider-man. they always release a teaser almost a full year in advance and the first real trailer hits around November. I remember seeing the first teaser for SM1 and when they showed the release date I was "serious? a year from now? what's the point?" then Nov. came the first trailer and I thought the same thing again. but Sony put the trailer and every succeeding trailer into heavy rotation before the movie was out and simply boiled everyone's anticipation over the pot. the results speak for themselves. I got the point then. it happened for SM2 and the results this time shouted for themselves.

nearly the same thing was done for the Hulk. a trailer didn't come till the Superbowl in Jan. but with the consistent playing of it fans' and moviegoers' anticipation boiled over and created an astonishing weekend for a film that unfortunately didn't have strong legs to make it to 200mil domestically.

notice how late the advertising was for Superman Returns? I think that's what really killed it's opening weekend. word of mouth didn't help but to be open for 5 days and not hit 100mil was a direct result of bad marketing. the teaser released in Nov. was too vague and you didn't see another trailer till just a month or two before the film opened. in Sony's time they woulda already had all the trailers and at least 3/4 of the tv spots out and playing on every station during every commercial break. it's called guerilla marketing and it's a beautiful thing!

now Sony is doing it again and this film will certainly blow all records outta the water. I can't wait. Venom is gonna be beyond sick!
