I would also like the classic fixed camera as an option, for more nostalgia vibes.
I had the same problem until I played on a controller rather than keyboard + mouse and then it worked better. I feel like the old style is easier to accept if you played them back then and have some nostalgia for them, because getting into that style of game in the modern era was challenging... for me at least. Would still say RE1R is among the best even if I would enjoy a remake in the third person format more.I actually haven't finished Re0 and RE1R despite owning them for years now.
Fixed camera turned me away.
I have nostalgia for RE1, RE2 and RE3 and have finished them on PS1. I also had the 1st Outbreak game for the PS2 (though I didn't finish it, because I couldn't figure it out). I had Survivor too for the PS1, I didn't finish it because I didn't like it because it was so different from the first 3 games.I had the same problem until I played on a controller rather than keyboard + mouse and then it worked better. I have already played RE4, before I got RE1R and RE0 and by that time I already adjusted myself to third person perspective. I pretty much bought the Origins Collection for my shelf, so it would be displayed next to the other RE games.
