i think imageworks did this on purpose. i guess they were angry that they made thefinal footage so dark that you coulnt see what sony did.

You're not kidding!!! This is what we should have gotten! I hate that color correction that was in SR, it was awful.

Well, I'm not sure I like it. The character seems to be out of place. In some shots I find it works, and in others I find it pretty bad.

It's actually quite shocking how much better this looks. There is absolutely no reasonable explanation anyone can come up with as to why Singer destroyed the vibrant color. He finally looks like Superman.

he wanted a mood. with colors you can make a mood.
maybe he wanted a rusty-dirty-depresing feel to the movie.

If that's what he wanted....he got it.

I'm not sure if it would have made the film any better on a grand scale, but at least it looks like Superman. It certainly wouldn't have hurt. It appears to have been a major blunder after seeing how it could have looked. This is one 'Singerism' that even the film's lovers will have trouble defending.

If a sequel is ever made, I will guarantee the colors will be more like they are in these clips. One of about a dozen changes Singer will make.

I ask again. What in the world could he possibly be thinking when he filtered out the natural color? They spent hundreds of thousands of dollars on costume design and creation. He probably personally spent hours choosing the colors. Then for some insane reason, he filters out the colors he chose and goes with a suit that looks more like the evil Superman suit from SMIII.

Don't say mood. The story was depressing enough, he certainly didn't need to fade out the colors to achieve that feeling.

He's actually a screwed up individual. He has major problems, some well documented, some hinted at and some talked about.

I can't really blame Singer one bit. He made the film he wanted. It's just not the one that most of us wanted. He injected his personal feelings and problems into a Superman film. All the blame lies with Warner Brothers. They spent $250 million for Singer's movie plus tens of millions on past incarnations. They have no clue.

...and no matter what anyone says, it is not the film WB expected.

To be honest, preferred the lighting in the movie, not just being a 'blind lover' here but i honestly liked it darker, Superman looks so bright in some of those shots he appears fake, and no, i'm not talking about the CG doubles.
