Superman Returns Supes to Return Again

Superman should be able to be able to articulate better. He's too quiet in SR. He doesn't say a whole lot to the people he randomly saves but with Lois its different. He should be able to say all the right things to her and it never be stupid or cheesy. As far as the one liners go, I'll watch Spiderman for that, Superman doesn't need to be funny.

Agree with you in part, but what I meant was personality -- he doesn't have to be funny, but what made Reeve's action sequences cool and memorable were his witty remarks. The closest thing we got in SR was a rehash from STM ("Statiscally speaking ...") Be a little original, Singer; otherwise, you're paying your writers too much. Get a REAL author! Chabon is responsible for the scene in Spidey 2 when Peter stops the toppling steel wall from landing on MJ, and then says, holding it up, "Hi ... <pause> this is really heavy" ;-)

That's cool.....I'll be young enough to enjoy another very-likely Good Superman flick in 2009. (hasn't let me down yet so far...X1/2/SR)

AND

I'll be around for an eventuall reboot in 20 years.

Sounds good, I shall do the same :)

hey guys remember singer is bad at starting a triolgy but always comes through in the sequel.. above and beyond excepctation..... i personally loved SRT and hearing a sequel so soon well puts a giant smile o my face

Your thinking along the same lines I am...My idea was for the villian to kidnapp jason, and either use him against supes,or find out he is half kryptonarian and experiment on him...either or is fine.

No..lets see superman see the boy die..releasing his anger..pushing him further away form lois..having Richard swear revenge on superman...asking lex for his help in killing the man of steel...but Brainiac arrives on earth..

so there is a bigger threat.

said this in another thread.. my idea for the sequel story.

Wow thats pretty cool, wouldnt mind a scene like that in the sequel at all.

too bad i think that this game is going to suck. watching those videos brought painful memories of apokolips on ps2 -- i don't want to judge since i haven't played it, but the lack of polish since E3, the fact that this was delayed but now bumped up to meet DVD release, that EA didn't go the x-tra mile to get the licensed music (a.k.a. they don't want to spend another penny on it), and finally -- it's EA -- makes me think this is going to be a mediocre game at best. After Nemesis and Godfather, it's clear EA can't handle licenses that much better than the Activisions of the world.

you do realize that the environment will be much larger and more user friendly?...

Sure, I've read the previews, but that's just my gut reaction. I know you're not supposed to judge from videos, but I say this game scores no higher than 7.5 on most critics' lists. If it gets any higher, they're sympathy points.

Singer Begins Planning Superman Sequel
Source: Ryan
November 9, 2006

Superman Returns executive producer Chris Lee, director Bryan Singer and producer Jon Peters are in Honolulu this week to celebrate Lee's birthday, and to begin planning the next "Superman" film, which will likely begin production mid- to late next year in a location yet to be determined.

According to The Honolulu Advertiser, Singer acknowledged that he has also been approached to direct the fourth "X-Men" movie, but said he wouldn't have time to take on another large-scale project before the next "Superman" gets underway. He is interested, however, in seeing the script for the "X-Men" spinoff Wolverine.
