Superman Returns The Official Comic-Con Thread!

Wasn't there, but I heard it all plain and clear.

IMO, people are jumping way too much at the 'iffy' line. When to me, it doesn't hold much importance compared to what preceeds it and what it's followed by. As I said, WB- they seem to be a very hands on company that are always very supportive.

That is why you have "naysayers" jumping at it. While many are letting it be.

Was WB supportive of Burton after Batman Returns?

What's up with the "Death Of Superman" talk on the main page, is this going to be a "movie" or a "remake comic book?"

Sounds like a Direct-to-DVD animated movie with Bruce Timm at the helm.

Interesting, I am glad they are doing this as an animated flick with Bruce Timm.

An animated Death Of Superman with Bruce Timm, that's going to be BADASS.

I'm laughing, because that seemed to be the biggest complaint on the net. Yet when Singer addresses the question at the Con, it's met with applause.

i guess nobody was brave enough to tell it to his face that his reasoning is crap. :(

i often question myself, if i was at fan conventions like this, if i would be brave enough to ask the tough questions or say plain and straight what bothered the fandom. for matters i feel very strongly about, like whats happening to Superman, i think i would. the trick is how to pose the question/ comment graciously but with as much impact without coming off as a jerk. but the other side of me, the one that always thinks of the other party, what would the director/ writer feel if he was put on the spot in front of a lot of people? the last thing i want to do to anyone i talk to is to make them feel uncomfortable. you know what i mean?

i could only guess that those who didnt like the film sat this one out/ didnt make extra efforts of being at this year's Con.

I concur,that ass will be a bad one:up:

let hope it look better than the latest offering.

the brainiac one.

They should make it R-rated like the SPAWN animated series, but for a direct-to-video movie. Take Superman up a notch to where he's never been. No kids allowed.

I don´t care that much for Death Of Superman. It was more a great sales gimmick than a great story. Want a great Superman death story, read Whatever Happened To The Man Of Tomorrow?

Agree. I'm not a big fan of those gimmick events.

i am defintely gonna be in the minority about the Death of Superman :o

Timm's adaptation of the Death of Superman will probably be a lot better than the original comic book version.
