Clive Barker's Book of Blood

Harrison's Book of Blood Not a Gore-fest
Source:IF Magazine September 4, 2008

Those lucky stiffs who attended the FrightFest UK screening of Midnight Meat Train were presented with the first ten minutes of John Harrison's Book of Blood. Witnesses tell us the footage was impressive.

In an interview with IF Magazine, Harrison says it received "big applause." That's good. He also explains to IF that his adaptation of Clive Barker's Book of Blood and On Jerusalem Street "is not a gore-fest. It is more of a supernatural thriller a la The Others, or The Orphanage. Very moody. Very character-driven."

Harrison goes on to say Barker has seen a cut of the film and is happy with it.

Thanks, Galactus!

Very good news, indeed. I'm looking forward to seeing both Meat Train and Book of Blood. I love those stories
