Cloud Atlas

if you are not in the right mood dont watch it. its around 2 hours and 40 minutes and its slow paced.

That's what's always stopped me lol. I'll sit down and watch half a season of a show straight through but a 3 hour movie can be rough for me. I dunno why. Didn't used to be that way

I'm actually the opposite.

Cloud Atlas is amazing though. Very rewarding. Personally, I didn't find it slow at all.

I have to admit I slept on this. For once I fell victim of the "meh" on-line buzz surrounding a movie, but that wasn't the only reason.

Anyway... better late than never.

Holy crap!

This is a genuine masterpiece!

Brilliant film. Wish I would've seen this in theaters.

The theme music of the movie should have won an oscar period. It is one of the most criminally underrated masterpieces of music I’ve heard. It makes one tear up at its power.

The movie was incredible. So sad that it didn’t get the love it did

Damn, now I want to listen to the soundtrack.

I put some of the Cloud Atlas score on my playlists and I'm not really the type to collect scores, amazing stuff.

This is one of my favorite (ish) movies because it's so ambitious and emotional. There's a bit of cheesy writing in the narration but damn, this is one fine piece of art.

All of the interwoven stories are fascinating in very particular ways. I had vested interest in each story, I guess I would say the slave stowaway or journalism stories were weakest but even those had great payoffs.

Cavendish story was hilarious; Jim Broadbent is a hoot as were Weaving and Grant. Ol Georgie was a chilling demon Jiminy Cricket. Future Korea story is the stuff most sci fi hopes to strive for, very emotional and beautiful. Winshaw's storyline as the musical apprentice was very intriguing.

Damn, overall, I absolutely love this movie. I feel like this will get more credit as time goes on.

I couldn’t have better said it myself. You stated all the feelings I have about this movie. Yes totally agree with you there are some cheesy parts in the writing and some of the make up wasn’t great; but like you said, the ambition, the way the stories link together. It’s just all so beautiful and striking. Makes one really believe in humanity’s beauty despite all of the conflict.
