Well the original question was "should they?" and if you thought yes then "what should they be?"

So for those of us who think it's a terrible idea, no need to come up with any

I see where you're trying to go here, but it fails. They aren't running around promoting themselves as superheroes (okay, maybe Hiro aside) so they don't need to come up with goofy names to hide their identites.

If you really feel the need to be a wise ass, at least do so thoughtfully.

For a show called 'Heroes' that has people flying around, seeing the future and regenerating, masks and aliases are almost inevitable.

Another thing too, these people have real lives which include relatives, and one of the most important reason to have a secret identity is to protect them from your enemies.

If they are going to do any true Superman exposure hero work, they will need secret identities, so the question is will they really do any true hero work out in the open or just do this clandestine stuff they are doing right now.

Its just a bit of fun, and they'll have the same problems all superheroes have... they can't be targeted 24/7. They're not going to want to give away who they are. So I think they will need codenames when they eventually become a team, unless they are comfortable with being heroes all day and night. Hiro is apparently, then again he knew only Peter would see him... maybe in the future he wears a ninja mask. *swoons*

I think they should just call him "Radiation Man" he's really the only one that is sort of getting exposure...he escaped the FBI, I don't know if the media caught on, but if they did, I would dub him the Radiation Man. All the others would kinda be pointless to name, unless like someone said, part of some clandestine group or division of the FBI/NSA

Code names shouldn't apply because they won't need them, as many others have said everyone is working together or we'll be to save the cheerleader to stop the explosion (assumebly) they don't go out and fight crime or really get involved with everything else.

Just to note, AGAIN, that these characters don't have to and should NOT become "Superheroes." While Peter may be heroic, as we saw the other night, that does not make him a "Superhero" and it never has to.

There are no need for costumes or even a 'team,' and certainly not for secret identities, and thus, codenames.
