Didn't see a thread for this.

The Coens' upcoming film follows a folk musician in ’60s Greenwich Village. It's loosely based on the life of Dave van Ronk, an American folk singer who presided over the Greenwich Village scene in the 1960s, which give birth to a new wave of artists that included Bob Dylan, Phil Ochs, Ramblin’ Jack Elliott and Joni Mitchell.

Starring Oscar Isaac as the lead and having to name a few, Carey Mulligan, Justin Timberlake, Garrett Hedlund, F. Murray Abraham (holy crap!) and John Goodman to round up the supporting cast.

I like the sound of this, delving into folk music once again, it was an important element in O Brother, Where Art Thou? and that turned out fantastic and with this Joel suggested that the music in the film could possibly be performed live with single instrument and if I wasn't mistaken that Mulligan may also sing like she did in Shame, so this is full of potential. Delbonnel is the DP and last I've heard was that they're doing tests on possibly shooting it also on 16mm and striving for a documentary-esque look to it.

Set pics has appeared and we get our first look at the actors.

Timberlake in a Coen Brothers film? Very interesting.

If the Coen brothers are involved, I'm giving it a chance.

The mere fact that it's a new film from the Coen brothers is reason enough to look forward to it, but not for me. I was sold as soon as I saw that they will re-team with Bruno Delbonnel.

The Coens usually worked fast but as for now I think it's possible with a limited release later this year with all the fall film festivals with a wide release by early next year. It's a good guess.

RE-team? They've worked with Delbonnel before? When!? The Coens are my favorite American filmmakers and Delbonnel is my favorite DP, how did I not know of this collaboration before?!?

He was the DP for the Coens' segment on Paris, je t'aime.

Different and better than what I expected.

Oscar Isaac finally getting the recognition he deserves.

Him and Carry Mulligan can never have a happy relationship can they? haha.

First saw him in Agora. Followed his work ever since. He's very talented.

Dat cinematography.

Also; I love the era, love the music, dig the cast and dig the Coen brothers in general.

Looking forward to this very very much. Too bad it will most likely not arrive here until next year or so.

How has it taken me this long to see this trailer? Looks amazing!

the trailer is out since january? wtf?
