Western Coen brothers to adapt 'True Grit'

Nah I'm broke as ****. I really want it on blu ray though

Bought it. Loved it all over again.

Still my favorite movie of last year.

I missed this in theatres, but I bought the Blu-Ray/DVD combo today and just watched it and it was pretty damn good. Kind of bummed I didn't see it on the big screen now.

It was a most enjoyable film. I might have to pick it up on BD myself. The song at the end kicked me right in the gut. :csad:

I finally managed to watch True Grit after picking up the Blu-ray (I really wanted to see it when it was in theatres but could never find the time).
I thought it was a fantastic film, well made and incredibly enjoyable. It is also one of the best looking movies I have seen in quite some time with absolutely beautiful cinematography.

I rented it today (can't afford to buy it right now) and still find it to be one of the better films I've ever seen. Jeff Bridges is just fantastic in it!

".......You are not Laboeuf."

I noticed this tonight when I was watching it with my wife. Absolutely beautiful shots in it. Love the landscapes.

"I was also shot... by a rifle."
"Well, that is quite possible. This scheme did not develop as I had planned."

"Them Men wanted a decent buriel, they should have gotten themselves killed in summer."

"Well, that's that."

Re-watched this movie, to be honest, I will not rate this higher than a 6. The screenplay had WAY too much problems (coincidences etc.), much more than the "original" ever had.

What coincidences? Only one I can think of was Mattie going to get water from the stream, and finding Chaney. But I didn't have a problem with that. That's the kinda ironic coincidence you get from a Coen Brothers film.
