So I just watched this movie.

Damn, was it amazing and thrilling.

Tom Cruise gave a great performance.

What did you guys think of the movie?

it was realesed in 2004. this was before he jumped on Oprah and before WOTW.

i was so happy with his performance that i almost jumped on my couch. its a fantastic movie and Cruise is a fantastic villain. 10/10. but this is what you get when you have Cruise, good script and Mann. 10/

Is it bad that I was rooting for Cruise in the end or was that supposed to happen?

Given you're sordid love affair with the guy that doesn't surprise me :o

he was like a realistic human terminator

That scene was amazing.

Vincent was so badass.

I hope Max got his Limo company tho. :o

Vincent is one of the most well-written villains ever. The complexity of the character is astounding. He isn't simply just a stone cold man doing his job. For every scene where he is callous and cold at heart, there is a scene when he genuine acts with good intentions. It's a shame Tom Cruise didn't get an Oscar nomination for the role. It's my personal favorite.

The film is superb. The cinematography, the acting, the music, and the writing. Michael Mann directed his ass off. The Coyote scene is the best scene of the film.

That shocks me, how the heck did he not get nominated?

On another note, that sandwich looked amazing!

Oh yeah, I'm sure he did. I'm sure he and Annie got together afterward. And she was prosecutor, so she was making that big money.

That shocks me, how the heck did he not get nominated?

I get hungry every time Max eats that sandwich.

:o

Underrated film. Doesn't get a lot of praise. One of my favorites.

I loved when Max made himself look all tough with Felix.

That was good.

This film is amazing. It just ticks all the right boxes. The feeling of a normal night at the beginning was handled brilliantly then BAM it just changes when the guy is killed by the bullets and the fall (not the shooting :D).

Cruise is outstanding. I especially love the scene where Max crashes the taxi, the music is perfect.

I loved this exchange of dialogue.
I killed him.

Really?

Of Course not...he died of Liver disease.

I'm sorry.

No you're not.

Sounds kinda basic, but Cruise made it work great.

The cool thing is that even though Vincent knew Max for a matter of hours, he knew him better than anyone else in Max's entire life.

Yup. They could have a bromance had Vincent not been a psychopath. :o

Well, anyways, was I the only here actually kinda rooting for Vincent in the end?

Collateral is my 2nd favorite Michael Mann movie after Heat

Tom Cruise was a total badass in this movie

i HATE the ending though. Vincent should have survived and finished the job

Well that's what happens when your taking shots in the dark.

Anyway, yes, this film is criminally underrated and a superb movie in general. I also heard that Cruise' suit was inspired by Cary Grant's NBNW suit.

Vincent was awfully likeable and there were moments of sympathy with him.

This movie was, and is, pretty kick ass. Tom Cruise gets more flack than he deserves slung at him in my opinion. I mean, maybe he hasn't hit a huge home-run in a while, but how easily people forget all the great work he's done.
