if he is Toomes, I'm sure that he'll be Vulture at some point of this series. If it's not a simple cameo, and he was not gonna eventually become the Vulture, it would make a lot more sense if the character's name wasn't Adrian Toomes. Originally Dr. Ratha was gonna be Miles Warren, but his part in the movie wasn't short enough to be a cameo nor was it long enough to become something bigger since he was gonna die, so that's why they probably renamed him dr. Ratha

Yes, he said that he's ok with playing a villain as long as he wasn't a monster or a guy in a costume. That still doesn't confirm that there ever was supposed to be Proto-Goblin. Maybe when Marc approached him with the role of Ratha he asked if he wanted to play a villain, meaning simply Ratha, and then simply knowing the history of Spider-Man villains from movies Khan wanted to make his stance clear that he didn't want to be any typical Spider-Man villain, even if Marc never implied he'd be that

Here are the possibilities:

1- Marc Webb is lying and Colm Feore IS playing Adrian Toomes.
2- Webb told the truth and Colm Feore is not playing Toomes, but could be another character from the comic books.
3- Webb told the truth and Feore isn't playing Toomes, but is playing a totally new character.

That doesn't mean they can't change things up a bit for this universe. Since he's most likely not playing Toomes/Vulture, I'm taking Webb at his word, my guess is that he's a character written just for the movie. There's also a possibility that he's playing a male version of Dr. Kafka. Too much speculation lol.

Feore is Vulture. They asked Webb if Feore playing a Vulture, but he said not that guy. Which suggest he is not playing for sure Vulture, but it's possible he is playing Toomes. You can blame interview guy for asking stupid uncomplete question....

i can't for the life of me find it, but i remember a fan picture from the ravencroft set with a plaque saying something about it being built in miles warren's memory.
