Who do you give the edge to? Why? How? What? Who? Yeah.

"Weird" people are out there, and so are unofficially "crazy" people,it's not as if what I am asking is some forbidden question. This isn't a battle of the witts or muscles between the sides,it just comes down to quality(which side you prefer more). There are no double meanings on my behalf about this,it's an honest question.

Yeah, you are going to have to clarify what you mean here. Are you asking who we think would win in a fight between super heroes and real life humans, or which do we prefer between the two?

In which case of both, what and why? And ultimately, huh?

Muhammed Ali would totally whoop Superman. :o

Ding ding ding.

Real people because they're real. Comic book characters can run the gamut from truly perfectly noble to truly despicable and evil, and real people tend towards the lower end of that, but at the end of the day, real people are real and comic characters aren't.

I'm going with the comic book character side by alot, more pros than cons imo,I simply just don't find them as disappointing as real life characters.

Why I give them the edge:
They won't jump off of the pages and literally boss you around,
They won't jump off of the pages and literally talk to you about stuff that means nothing to you,
There are heroes who have lots of heart,
There are heroes who don't get paid for saving lives,
I find them more entertaining,
I find there special abilities cool as hell and their appearances,
They can overall be less flawed,

They won't jump off of the pages and literally embarrass you,
They make me feel warm,
They won't literally pop off of the pages and deliberately find out stuff about you that they shouldn't know by eavesdropping,
There are characters who have unique origins,
They won't get mad at you for no reason,
They won't blame you for the mistakes that they made,

They won't pop off of the pages to knowingly make your life a living hell for nothing,
They won't pop off of the pages to make you end up buying something that is actually crappy that they weren't involved in making,

The rest of my reasons are to be continued.

....you know, I hate to be presumptious or give you a lecture or anything, but just from reading that it sounds like you've got a few problems which I suggest seeking help for. I'm not saying this to be condescending or anything but seriously...wow.

Yeah, I agree. The bitterness quotient here just went up a few notches.

Meh. Being bitter can be healthy,I rather do that, then repress it even though I do think that you and Frank are reading into what I said too much on the other hand.

I think the whole thing would have made much more sense if it was about battles between superheroes and other human beings eg, Superman Vs Muhammad Ali, Batman vs Bruce Lee, The Hulk Vs Steve Austin (just to give some random and wacky examples) than what you're talking about, since I'm not finding the motive of this thread particularly clear.

The motive is to see why people would like one side more than the other,I also wanted to engage in some really interesting discussion, and new found knowledge.

I tend to disagree. There are some awful people in the world, but the average person usually just wants to keep to themselves. Still, I agree with the rest. Fictional characters are cool, but only because of how they reflect on the lives of real people in the real world. They'd be pretty meaningless without real people. Whereas real people are pretty meaningful even without fictional characters to inspire them or entertain them, because they're real.

No it can't. Dealing with your emotions is healthy, but being bitter isn't dealing, it's wallowing in disappointment.

My point was that real people are less likely to be perfectly good than fictional characters, not that real people are all bad.

Well even though being bitter is a negative state,it works for me in the end, once I'm done letting it out. It makes me feel okay at least, afterwards. You're right,I mean that you can't have fictional characters without real people. I wasn't even entirely feeling bitter when I said a bunch of that stuff that I put in bold, not even close.
