Comic Panel & Trailer Comparisons

he looked evil in the trailer. I still have hopes that he only wears that at the end and they don't portray him as evil throughout the movie.
A strong point, one I didn't think about. If he wears that throughout the entire film with those cold, dead eyes, the audience is going to instantly assume he's the villain -- which I sure didn't the first time I read the comic.

I can’t believe people never suspect Veidt. It seems OBVIOUS that he’s the villain in WATCHMEN. He’s in it less, he’s much quieter and more methodical…it’s the incredible nature of his plan that is so great, not the twist that he’s the villain. That never shocked me.

I have a question about the teaser. In one shot we see (and hear) Nite Owl fall to his knees and yell, but when does that happen in the book? It looks like he's in Antartica during that scene, but that doesn't seem to fit. Am I missing something or is there some kind of change?

It looks like a changed/added scene to me, but there's not really much to go on.

I wouldn't say so. I mean, yeah, sometimes he does look like a teen in a huge heavy suit, but I had no problems with him during the trailer.
I was not expecting an exact translation of the comic, and I'm even over the nipples. I just find the colors to dark, and the actor way to skinny and not regal looking at all. He looks like a LARPer.
but whatever. I'm not going to pass on the movie just because ozy is not up to my expectations.
Still going to be f'ing great.

I didn't suspect him at first, but the farther I got, and the less I saw of him, I did. I don't know how I feel about showing a lot of him in trailers. If it's the part where he kills the assassin, then that'd be okay, since he's seemingly heroic, and he's wearing bright colors. Any other scenes are a little obvious.

Agreed.

Yeah, I thought they would have gone with a taller actor or defiently one that doesn't look so skinny. It won't ruin the movie for me either and i won't be jumping off a bridge because of it.:hehe:

Matthew Goode is 6'2''.

Agreed. When I first read it; I was like; ''Damn, I was hoping for some other cool character. Some bona-fide supervillain with scars and a weird costume with a grudge against ''the Watchmen'' and ****. Not this ****ing guy as the villain.'' Then, ofcourse, his plan unfolds. And like everybody, I was ****ing STUNNED. And then you fully realize this is not just any other superhero story.

"The Beginning Is the End Is the Beginning" by the Smashing Pumpkins.

It's a good one.
Some people say it's a slower mix.. Wish I still had these songs around

Yeah, I think he's easier to suspect in the movie namely because of him wearing the black suit as oppose to wearing purple and gold.

Not that we've seen many shots of Goode, but they probably shouldnt show too much of a cold inhuman looking ozy in the coming trailers if they dont wanna indicate that he's the villain.

In the GN he mostly has this quiet thoughtfulness and sadness to him. I hope that's maintained in the movie.
