What are some of the comic rumors that you were REALLY look forward to seeing, but eventually fell through?

I remember for awhile there was a Deathlok rumor that I was kinda excited to see cause he's a pretty cool character. Then I think we got a mini series from MAX that was suppose to bring awareness back and then it was supposed to be a Sci-Fi original. Ultimately, I never heard anything more.

I remember a rumor that Harry Osbourne would be wearing his dad's suit at the end of Spidey 3. That would have been cool but the movie would have still sucked.

I remember a rumor that Bruce Banner was going to try and commit suicide in TIH but when he would try and either cut himself or whatever he would Hulk out.

That the little boy in BB was actually Robin as a young boy.

Theres a scene like that in the Banner miniseries (or something, I only read the first issue) Banner puts a gun in his mouth. You hear the Blam but the panel is a wide terrain shot. Then it goes back to Hulk who spit the bullet on the ground. It was pretty sweet

The idea that Thomas Haden Church and Topher Grace were both identities to The Chameleon in Spiderman 3 was a cool idea but Church as Sandman was a much better fit.

Danger Room in X1, Sentinels in X3.

The fact that Tim Story said that Galactus would be done right and not as a storm cloud.

Goyer and Reynold's Nightstalkers spin off(even if it wasnt accurate), Flash, and Deadpool.

Namor movie as "Star Wars underwater"

isn't that the Captain America scene in the Arctic that will supposedly be released online at some point?

Oh good lord, I remember that. I actually posted on the boards somewhere, well before the movie came out, that, "They'll show Galactus in all his glory. They won't stick us with just a storm cloud. They wouldn't do that to us."

Shows what I know. :cmad::cmad::cmad::cmad::cmad::cmad::cmad:

I heard there was no scene with Cap. Maybe what I'm thinking of was buzz from the original script.

If there is a scene where Hulk finds a frozen man, but they don't show him, I think that would be pretty sweet.

Oh, yeah, how many times was Gambit rumored to be in the three different X-Men films?!?!

That pissed me off so bad when he wasn't in any of them.

Sentinels and Colossus vs. Juggernaut in X3

Wesley Snipes as Black Panther. Man! that would have been cool back then.

Not a rumour. The footage was shot and was supposed to be the intro for the movie but it was cut.

Yea it was considered too dark and they promised us in would be online well before the DVD.

Stupid ****s.

Some of these rumors are pretty interesting (Robin cameo in BB?).

What about Daredevil 2: Man Without Fear? I was really looking forward to that one.

Okay the way I understand the supposed Cap deleted scene in TIH is that Bruce goes up to the Arctic to kill himself and a vision of Cap talks him out of it, like the ghost of Elvis in True Romance

Or Fonzie talking to Peter Griffin in the woods :hehe:

At the rate it's going Supermax looks like it may never happen so I'm just preparing for it but saying it's the one "rumor" I'm looking forward to.

That Supermax thing is crazy. It would work better as a smaller thing, like an episode for whatever superhero series' out there.. not a, say stand-alone movie

Wouldn't make sense, the Chemeleon can't adopt the powers of those he immitates, only their appearance.

Can't wait for the DVD cut of that. I really want to see that but I guess it was too much for a PG13 movie, huh?

It was probably that the sentinels were going to feature in x3.

That and the nonesense about the symbiote attaching itself to spidey's suit instead of spidey (he clearly had two different suits). It could have made sense with it but it was pretty poorly done.

you can ram a pencil into someone's skull and have it kill them so that scene is really quite well applicable. Especially considering there's no possible blood.

It could have been done very tastefully. IT was an important scene because it confirms the hulk won't let him die which is why it's so important he made the decision to jump out of the helicopter. Instead he comes across as just kinda brave...
