Yes, print is a dying media, but I still read the comics if I get an actual newspaper or online. I make sure to read

- Pearls Before Swine
- Arlo and Janis
- Rudy Park/Candorville

every day.

Piper, what about Garfield minus Garfield? Or Square Root of Minus Garfield?

What about The Other Family in which I cannot post any links to due to it being a resubbing of the Family Circus comics and it is terribly horribly done. I think I could post maybe 2-3 of them here out of the dozens made and even then they might get me banned.

Dilbert - It hit's to close to home with places I have worked...

The only comic strip that I have in my house is Calvin and Hobbes.

Peanuts
Calvin and Hobbes
Little Nemo
Dream of the Rarebit Fiend
Bloom County
Pogo
Dilbert
Family Circus
Opus
Outland

None, now.

The last clever daily strip was Boondocks and it ended way too early.

Far Side and Calvin and Hobbes were great. Both over now. Doonesbury used to be good 10 or 15 years ago, but kinda sucks now. Get Fuzzy is okay, but it's also not as good as it used to be.

But the vast majority of daily strips are amazing in just how terrible they are. They're not funny, not clever and most are stale re-runs of the same awful gags that have run for decades. Print is a dying media because they don't get it. Look at most popular web-comics, like The Oatmeal, Cyanide & Happiness, Penny Arcade and Perry Bible Fellowship (maybe that one ended). Most of the time they're hilarious. And yet nothing even approaching their caliber ever appears in newspapers, because the senile idiots in charge would rather pump out the same tired Marmaduke and Family Circus crap no one reads. The funnies could be overhauled over night, but instead they'll die a slow death with the medium that carries them.

Calvin and Hobbes. My grandfather used to give me the paperback collections when I was little.

I still read on & off:

Foxtrot
Garfield
Blondie
Beetle Bailey
The Far Side (before it was taken out of print) :cmad:
Ripley's Believe it or Not

I'm waiting for someone to say Cathy because I swear I'd ridicule them until they left SHH.

Oh...you're going to wish you never said that... :(

Mary Worth (still trying to figure out the story)

Calvin and Hobbes
Fox Trot
Anything with Opus in it/Bloom County, etc.
Dick Tracy
The Phantom

In news papers only Fox Trot and Garfield. I read several web comics though.
