Just curious.

I thought that since MLK day was Monday, comics would get pushed back a day. Don't want to take this trip to the comic shop without knowing for sure.

Can anyone clear that up for me?

Fact is, nobody cares about MLK day. :csad:

I never go on wed after the holidays, it's just my assumption. Why are you sugesting that they are going to be in stores today?

It is, but its true. And to answer the question, comics should be out on time since UPS and FedEx worked on Monday, they don't care about black people.

As a back man, that kind of pisses me off, but as a comic book fan That cheers me up to be getting my comic books on my birthday. :hyper: :trans:

Well to be fair, they dont take President's Day off either. They dont care about dead presidents.

To continue with the toxic posting: I never get why people come to the 'net to ask other people for what to do when they could go right to the source. Wouldn't it be more efficient to call the store and ask?

This kinda reminds me of those moronic threads in Community where people ask if they should go to the doctor.:whatever:

I'm bleeding from my anus. Should I got to a doctor?

Yes, ask your partner to re-insert his member there to staunch the bleeding and call for an ambulance.:D:up:

No, I'm pretty sure that running it under cold water and then alternating heat and cold could also fix it. That procedure fixes EVERYTHING.

No not really, I travel to a news stand about 25-30 minutes away from my house. It's freezing outside now, don't want to make this walk without knowing for sure if the comics are going to be there.

Small newstand dosn't exactly have a phone number.

So no, i couldn't call them up to check.

You're in NY, why not just call Midtown Comics and ask? They'd be just as knowledgeable on the subject as any of us.

When I had made the topic my phone was currently in use.

which is code for "I'm going to continue to come up with excuses as to why I was too lazy to do anything else but make this topic".

So, yes....

Phone was in use, I'll stick with that story.:yay:

LOL! No offense but MLK is a federal holiday. It shouldn't be treated any different than say President's Day or Flag Day...oh wait, it isn't. (But people want to act like it is)

If I have to come to work on MLK then comic book stores and presses better DANG sure be open!

I used to drive up to the Cross County mall in Yonkers when I lived in the Bronx. If you've never been to the comic store there, def check it out

Martin Luther King day. Pretty much everyone has to work unless you work at a bank or something.

Ah right... I had heard of it actually i just hadnt identified the initials.

I heard about this game that silly white kids play on MLK Jr Day. It's called the MiLK Challenge where they all stand around in a circle and try to chug a gallon of milk. It ends up in mass vomitting. How rude? :cmad:
