I work for a newspaper in Inuvik, NWT. (That's in northern Canada, in the Arctic circle) and I wrote a small article about the library's comic-book section.

What can I say! There are comic fans in the arctic! (even if they do like Dragonball Z...shudder...)

It occurs to me now...I've just revealed my "secret identity" as mild-mannered reporter Philippe Morin.

If you're interested in Northern Canada, by the way, check out my blog at www.inuvikpm.blogspot.com

Dude, awesome, how cold is it up there? Like, not stats, personal opinion.

I moved here at the beginning of the summer, so I haven't lived through the winter yet. I hear it gets to -40 celcius during the winter, but it barely ever snows. So, there is just dry snow and a lot of wind.

Though it's over now, I really loved having 24 hours of sunlight! You can chill on the porch having a BBQ at 2 am, and it's like the afternoon! great for parties...

it's the 30 days of night that kind of bothers me...I wonder if I'll get bummed out.

That is sooo awesome. I want to vacation there for a year. Mayhaps in a decade.

I heard you guys have to tin-foil your windows just to get to sleep.

Do they have tanning salons around where you are? Not for tanning, just for the vitamin D.
