Half-hour comedy
Series Premiere Thursday, September 17th 9:30/8:30c
From Dan Harmon ("The Sarah Silverman Program") and Emmy Award-winning directors Joe and Anthony Russo ("Arrested Development") comes "Community," a smart comedy series about a band of misfits who attend Greendale Community College. At the center of the group is Jeff Winger (Joel McHale, "The Soup"), a fast-talkin' lawyer whose degree has been revoked. With some help from his fellow classmates, Winger forms a study group who eventually learn more about themselves than their course work.
Also among the series stars who comprise the group are comedy legend Chevy Chase ("Chuck") as Pierce, a man whose life experience has brought him infinite wisdom; Gillian Jacobs ("The Book of Daniel") as Britta, the 28-year old drop out with something to prove; Yvette Nicole Brown ("Rules of Engagement") as Shirley, a sassy middle-aged divorcée; Danny Pudi ("Greek") as Abed, a pop culture junkie; Alison Brie ("Mad Men") as Annie, a high-strung perfectionist; Donald Glover ("30 Rock") as Troy, a former high school football star trying to find his way and Ken Jeong ("The Hangover") as Spanish professor, Señor Chang.
"Community" is a Krasnoff Foster Entertainment, Harmonious Claptrap, Russo Brothers production, Universal Media Studios production in association with Sony Pictures Television. Russ Krasnoff ("The Soloist"), Dan Harmon ("The Sarah Silverman Program"), Joe Russo ("Arrested Development"), Anthony Russo ("Arrested Development"), Garrett Donovan ("Scrubs"), Neil Goldman ("Scrubs") and Gary Foster ("The Soloist") serve as executive producers. Joe and Anthony Russo directed the pilot, written by Harmon.

I have always been a fan of Joel McHale. If you have a Facebook account, you can watch the pilot episode right now. It will only be up for 95 more hours though. It's worth checking out. Watch it and discuss.

I'm not joining the suckhole that is Facebook but I'm really excited for this! Love McHale on the Soup and that main actress does look like Elizabeth Shue.

Just as long as I dont have to see his penis again...

Network TV still has some standards. I think we're still safe for at least another three to five years before we start seeing adult penises on network television. :woot:

I actually wasnt too sure about this until I saw the trailer. I might check this out. Unfortunately its on the same time as Supernatural and Fringe.

I will be seeing this show and The Office on hulu then. I want to see Supernatural as it comes on tv.

Same. Supernatural is top priority for me.

Supernatural is one of the few shows that hasn't let me down yet. I guess the other would be Lost.

Eric Kripke must've actually sold his soul to the devil, because Supernatural rarely even has a down episode. I hope they keep up the great work in season five.

DVR FTW! SN and Fringe are two of my favorite shows, so luckily I won't miss any one of them.

Can't wait for this.

Begins tonight after Dunder Mifflin and Pawnee Government. McHale is a funny guy when he wants to be, and seeing Chevy back on a show could be pretty decent.

this show looks good from the promos. But I will be seeing Supernatural instead. I'll watch this show tomorrow online.

I watched 15 min tonight. I thought it was bad.

It was good. I've watched the preview so many times that there wasn't much I hadn't seen. Plus it's torture flipping between this and Fringe.

It was alright, I hope they can bring in more funny though. This just seemed like an introduction to the premise and the characters. Hopefully it'll get better. I'll keep watching for a couple of weeks.

I enjoyed it. I thought it was a stronger first episode than many series have had.

Chevy Chase is really funny in this. I thought it was ok but has the potential to get better.

Strongest NBC comedy pilot in years, probably since the 90s.

An improved Parks and Rec, plus Community means more time will be spent watching TV on Thursdays. SNL was hilarious with Hader's James Carville impression, The Office was amazing an 30 Rock will be back in a few weeks.

On the station I was watching it on...it froze near the end...like the last 5-10 minutes or so...

chevy chase is funny as hell in this show. glad to see him back

abed was the hit of this show..

with his Breakfast club referrences..

it was kinda slow.. but i do see its potential.. i will stay on for a bit
