That opening scene? Wow. Awesome.

"The Shadow knows! Hahahahahaha!!!"

Gold. :)

I've said this so many times it's terrible.

...I can't understand why nobody seems to like The Shadow and The Phantom. :(
I love both those movies. I just got the Jerry Goldsmith (The SHadow) score on CD.
Theres something about pulp fiction movies, they seem to fail at the box office. The same thing happened to Rocketeer, Iron Giant and Sky Captain.

I can't understand why nobody seems to like Alien: Resurrection, 3 Ninjas and Austin Powers in Goldmember. Granted, Beyoncé can't act worth the ****e, but the rest of the movie is still pretty humorous.

I didn't like Goldmember b/c it felt like Myers had made the same movie 3 times & it wasn't that funny the first time.
Oh-and Beyonce can't act & her looks are overrated, IMO.

If that weren't a pushup bra you'd have a case. Look at her videos. She's an A at best.

superman returns

along the same lines, i don't understand why people don't see that back to the future 2 is so much better than the first  it took me a while to think in this way but i'm old enough to appreciate all the different time lines now and i think it's genius. one of the best endings to a film ever...

I tried to like it; I really did. But it was paper-thin, Weller was gone & the story just wasn't there. PG-13 or no, it was just weak. It proved that Frank Miller isn't as infallible as some fanboys like to think.

I hated it. I can honestly say that I hated it and found to be a complete bastardazation of the very idea of RoboCop. Weller is Robocop, you can't replace him. Making the movie PG-13 was a awful thing to do and made the movie completely devoid of cool Robocopy action scenes. I'm no big fan of the silly Robocop 2, but atleast it was R-Rated and had a kickass robot fight at the end.

Let's not turn this into the Beyonce appreciation thread, ok?

Spam.
Ban!

Kidding, but no more Beyonce. She ain't all that, and her songs (with or without Destiny's Child) were horrible.

Well, she was. Espcially in those tight booty pants. :D

Mystery Men

I LOVE Mystery Men...I own it and everything....but I definitely wondered why more critics didn't care for it, and why more people didn't go to see it in theaters.

Mystery Men had such a small audience b/c it was based on a comic that only a tiny handful of people read & was released in the same summer as Phantom Menace & The Matrix.

Quite true. I guess I'm just different than most people, because those factors alone didn't stop me. I actually saw it only because I'd always wanted to see a good superhero parody (I'd never heard of the comics before), and I was very glad I did.

That's another reason; I think Batman & Robin kinda soured a lot of people on superhero spoofs.

I think people just didn't know what to think of mystery men. I mean I'm always a Pee wee fan, but Paul reubens didn't make the best career move by playing the fart-man in it or whatever his character was.
