Ok, so I had a virus on my computer, and I got it removed. But, the problem is, when I click properties on my desktop, the tab where you can change your wallpaper and stuff isnt there. Also, the control panel opens up like a windows explorer window instead of the XP style...Anyone got any ideas other than reinstalling XP?

do a system restore and back the system up to a couple days or even a couple weeks ago.

but I'll lose all my stuff...

I also have a computer question.I dont think i should make a thread for it,so ill put it here.

My computer has served me well,i have had it for 5 years. But something has happened, alot of the images on my computer are a ART format.Meaning when i double click it to see it,a menu comes up with the options for opening the document.

I normally use Internet Explorer and i see the document normally.Recently i have done the same procedure, and the image is always broken.I cant see it,what is wrong with my computer? My memory is also low,i get a message every so often on my PC saying that my memory is low.Is the images not being able to show up is because of my low memory?Or something else?

No, you won't lose any saved files or work or anything. Just any installed programs that you've installed since the time your rolled back to [IE, if it's Friday, and you roll back to Monday, you lose all the installs from Tues, Wed, Thrus, and Friday.]
