Comedy Conan on TBS

The only Conan I know is the Conan with a beard. :csad:

How long have you been a fan then? Year and a half?

Ferrell was hilarious tonight, I thought it was a great bit.

I started watching shortly after he debuted on TBS. I don't really watch late night talk shows, but I saw all the fan support and decided to see what the big deal was. I liked it and now I try not to miss an episode, and I regret not seeing him when he was on NBC.

Ah. I've been watching him since maybe 6th grade (I'm 22 now) so I'm used to him with a clean shave. He's only had the beard for a short time during the writer's strike a few years ago and the months after his time on The Tonight show ended.

I've gotten used to him with a beard but I prefer him clean shaven. It was all worth it though because that segment with Will Ferrell was hilarious!

Funny same time I started watching and I'm the same age.I loved the beard segment, Ferrell is still genius.:awesome:

I want the beard back. Been watching since High School, so about 7 years.

I have been watching since Jr. High...which was like 15 years ago:( I watched when Andy was still on Late Night with Conan  I still remember a lot of the Andy and Conan sketches. Staring contests!

It's been 10 years for me so I just missed Andy as his sidekick when I started watching but this has always been my favorite moment of Andy.

I started watching around 1995 when I was 10. Some of the humor went over my head (I was innocent back then) but I still enjoyed most of the jokes.

God, talk about missing something awesome. I miss his Late night Underground stuff where they are rehearsing their material and usually you get something so hilarious like this

Wow, looks like I missed a lot of great stuff.

Yep, though fortunately you can find some of it on the net.

RIP Strike Beard
RIP Legally Prohibited from TV Beard
RIP TBS Beard

I started watching around 1995

Me too. Although I didn't become a fan till 1998. Maybe `99. I hate to admit it, but there was a time when I preferred Jay Leno. :o :csad: Then again, that was the era where Leno was wrestling on the WCW. Or was it WWF? I don't remember. But yeah, him and Kevin used to wrestle. Good times. :o

WCW. Bash at the Beach I think. Jay Leno and Karl Malone v.s. Hulk Hogan and someone else. Pretty sure I have it on VHS in the closet here, hahahaha. Good times indeed.

I used to watch Leno every night and then watch Conan until just before the second guest when I'd then pass out and fall asleep. I liked Leno alright but it was more because nothing else was on, but Conan I looked forward to.

I had gotten used to the beard. Ah well, nice to see him clean shaven again

when the beard came off it was like seeing a old friend lol

Karl Malone. LOL. I totally had forgotten about that. I remember during the NBA Finals he used to make that stupid diamond sign and then Dennis Rodman started mocking him.

And now Will Ferrell regrets shaving off Conan's beard.

I've been watching Conan since 1993 when he and Andy started on NBC's Late Night show. Conan grew a beard before during the Writers Strike in '07, he called it a strike beard, he grew it in support of the Writer’s Guild of America, and he kept the strike beard when the show returned for months until he shaved it as soon as the strike was over, in January 2008. Conan grew another bread after leaving NBC's Tonight Show in 2010, he called it an unemployment beard, and he kept the unemployment beard when he returned to TV for months, he called it a feeling of liberation after the restrictions he'd been through with NBC, and he also said "the beard will not stay with me for the long haul, because I don't think I'm a beard guy." The beard made him look older and distinguished, suave, mature, which contradicted Conan's self-deprecating humor and silly boyish charm. Conan's a comedian and he's always been funnier to me without a beard, so I'm glad to see Conan beardless again.
