Congrats Dan! Avengers: The Initiative becomes ongoing.

well considering how on the 3 covers that have been shown so far, the champions are the only constant, i think it's safe to assume they're taking up a large chunk of the book.

Considering The Champions have their very own ongoing, its safe to assume your assumption is wrong.

Maybe because they're in the first couple of issues?

so far it's the entire series.

also, has it been stated the characters appearing in the champions book are the same champions in this series? could be a different squad.

Those kids aren't the guys from the Champions ongoing (the ones seen in CW #6). Slott has created a bunch of new heroes for the series, to be overseen by the veterans.

so far there's been 3 covers previewed. and they're on them all. that makes it the entire series SO FAR.

follow?

No. It means that they're on the covers of three issues. Meaning that they may be in a three part story. Seems like a bit of a leap to assume that they're the focus of the series.

right. because the characters that make the cover are rarely the focal points of the story. :whatever: :down

i see the book as frontline-esque; a few storylines going on with one major one. these kids are filling the spot of sally and ben.

What a roller-coaster, was an on-going then a limited series and then back to an on-going. I think it's justified for an on-going, there really can be some interesting stories to be told

Now if Omega Flight gets re-released as an on-going that will make my week.

I didn't say that at all. I'm saying that they could be on the covers because they play a big role in those particular issues. It doesn't mean that they'll be the focus of the entire series.

and i never said they're the focal point for the entire series...just the focal point for the series thus far. anything can change/happen.

way to make something out of nothing.

I'm hardly the one making something out of nothing.

Go for it, all I know is, even with better coloring, I expect an artists change after issue #6.

Great news. Slott is the man.

I like Slott, but this book seems likes it going to be like a light hearted version of the Ultimates[not good], or something along the lines of Sky High with goverment puppets.

Omega Flight will be an ongoing for sure, unless sales are horrible.

Oh snap, you read the book?

A bunch of goverment controlled and funded super "heroes", who work under a strict policy, and report to their high ranking shield superiors. They must protect a radically changed world, where powered indivuduals are controlled by the goverment/Shield, sounds like the Ultimates to me.

Actually I was referring to your lighthearted/Sky High comment. Its funny you would come to that conclusion when Slott has said this is a lot darker than his other stuff and is akin more to his Arkham Asylum:Living Hell.

Then it is the 616 Ultimates.
