ORANGE, Conn. (Nov. 18) - An arrest affidavit says a Milford police officer charged with manslaughter for a car crash that killed two teenagers was driving 94 miles per hour and was not on an emergency call.

Hope he goes to prison and gets raped by all of the criminals he helped put there. Judging from his total lack of judgment and responsibility though I'd say he probably didn't contribute to any arrest ever. He was probably first on the scene though.

that video is heart breaking. i definitely hope that they weren't racing as is suspected, but that's what it looked like from that short video. so ****ed up.

They were cops, speeding cops, for all they know they were gonna switch on the sirens at anytime and speed off down the street. Or you know, STOP.

Watching the video again the turning car does look like it tried to beat the on-coming traffic which is pretty reckless in itself. Is this on a highway or something? Did it say in the article what the posted speed limit was?

The teen driver wasn't paying attention clearly when the teen went ahead. Still, the Cop should be charged. No reason he should be speeding at all in this situation. And at 94? In what looks like city limits?

When I see a car making a left turn, I don't speed up to 94mph.

Oncoming traffic has the right of way. Traffic that is making a turn only has the right of way when they have the turn signal, or when it's their turn at a 3 or 4 way stop.

Which, he more than likely did. Two cop cars coming at me, I'm going to do anything humanly possible to NOT break the law.

The key thing here is that it was late at night and the street lights are flashing. Whether they are flashing red or yellow we can't tell, either way a driver waiting to turn should expect that oncoming traffic would at least be slowing down as they approached the intersection, not speeding at 94 mph.

Exactly. As for the teen identifying the two oncoming cars as cops, it can be hard enough identifying cop cars in the distance during the daytime if they dont have their lights on, let alone at night, with both cars moving in the opposite lanes at upwards of 75mph.

He had a flashing yellow light not a flashing red light which meant that the oncoming car had a flashing red light. Both people should've slowed down or stopped, but often times cops will speed in the line of duty without using emergency equipment.

And yes, I most certainly am defending the cop, because he's innocent until PROVEN guilty of wrong doing just like everyone else.

Well the KKK doesn't think that the N-word is that heavy and misogynists don't think the C-word is that heavy. The point is that when you make a slur that is based around all members of a group it ceases to be an insult of one persons actions and now you have included everyone else in that group.

In this case you didn't say "That person that was driving was doing so improperly and should pay for that" you said "Stupid Pigs" even adding that this wasn't one persons actions but the actions of "pigs" in general which are all cops.

You're totally entitled to feel however you feel and think what you want, just understand that if you insult people in this manner by grouping them together you will be considered as hateful towards that group.
