Cop in Fatal Crash Was Driving 94 MPH

equal-opportunity hatred is the way to go if one can't resort to apathy

Well the KKK doesn't think that the N-word is that heavy and misogynists don't think the C-word is that heavy. The point is that when you make a slur that is based around all members of a group it ceases to be an insult of one persons actions and now you have included everyone else in that group.

In this case you didn't say "That person that was driving was doing so improperly and should pay for that" you said "Stupid Pigs" even adding that this wasn't one persons actions but the actions of "pigs" in general which are all cops.

You're totally entitled to feel however you feel and think what you want, just understand that if you insult people in this manner by grouping them together you will be considered as hateful towards that group.

:oldrazz:

You're absolutely right. My apologies. He was a stupid pig. Singular.

In all honesty, I have nothing against cops, and I was using the word jokingly when you took my tone out of context. I'm sorry you took it that way. Would it make you feel better if I just called him an ***hole or a prick?

I accept your apology half-assed as it may be.

It would make me feel better if his actions were distanced from his position. Too often I see police threads where cops are always given immediate harsh judgment because most people don't like them.

In the same respect I hate when people talk down about burger flippers, CEOs, and anyone else. I really think that if you're going to insult someone you should be sure that you're insulting the person and not the race, profession, sex, age, etc.

But I dig that you weren't being all hateful towards cops. It's cool.

Too begrudging?

Wow Majic you. Did you just equate the n-word to policeman being a pig.

I honestly kick myself everytime I come into threads like this. Because I just know people you will defend something absolutely obsurd. Then I lose a little faith in humanity.

A little yeah.

Imagine saying "Sorry you think the N-Word is offense, but I didn't mean for you to get offended so you're probably wrong."

:p

Tell me how it's different.

magic, buddy, pal.

What logical reason would the cops have for a defense?

Ironically he places a really good cop.

Wait. That's Ice T.

Ehh I haven't like the police since the time my mum got mugged years ago. They didn't do diddly squat about it. Coz doing real police work and investigating the case was too much hard work.

Ditto with my mate getting stabbed.

But they can beat the **** out of me and break my ribs on my birthday. In all my 23 years not once have the police done anything for me or anyone I know.

In the words of Ice Cube...

**** da police!!

I didn't mean like gangster. I meant just Adult. Like raunchy. Now he is doing mostly family films.

Yep, but he has reached that age where it is a little creepy to be that hardcore.

I live in Conn. and after like 11pm all the street lights flash yellow. The teen should of realized "hey, this guy is coming down here awfully fast,I'd better wait a second. But again he was a teen driver and hasn't developed that kind of judgment yet. The 2 teen's care as you can see basically exploded, prolly died instantly.

What do you mean he was a teen driver and hasn't developed that kind of judgment yet? It could of been anyone in that car who got killed. The blame SOLELY lies in the policemans hands.

1. The kid never had an open opportunity to turn there.
2. The cops should have had their lights/siren on and, assuming they WERE racing, should only be doing this in a legitimate situation which calls for it.
3. The cops are still at fault for the incident overall because they have to be held to account more than anybody. Any wrong-doing should be severely punished because they need be held at a higher standard than others (with the exception of doing whatever is necessary to guarantee their own safety/the safety of others in danger). They were speeding without their gear on and were involved in a fatal crash at the time. Heads SHOULD roll for this.
4. Assuming they were racing "pigs" is now an acceptable term, because he could be referring to the "pigs" (plural) involved in the race, or even just his partner in the car if he believes him to be spurring him on. To me I see "pigs" as just another negative colloquialism and hold the same "toughen up" stance on any taking issue with it as I would with Brits b****ing about being called "Poms", or Americans being called "Seppos". It doesn't have anywhere near the same kind of extensive history of hate, oppression or death attached to the issue that n***** has.
