No that's been established by the media and public outrage already so no trail or investigation needed.
As a culture, we really need to spend more on quality education through taxes and other means...because, for example, this culture of "someone said, so it must be true because i like drama" or "the news said so it must be true," ignoring the fact that the major 24 hour news outlets are out for ratings and report things incorrectly all the time in order to be the first to say it...I often see a lot of these knee-jerk reactions and it's not intelligent.
now, back to the issue at hand...from Dorner's manifesto...this does sound contradictory:
"To those children of the officers who are eradicated, your parent was not the individual you thought they were. As you get older, you will see the evidence that your parent was a tyrant who lost their ethos and instead followed the path of moral corruptness. They conspired to hide and suppress the truth of misconduct on others behalf's. Your parent will have a name and plaque on the fallen officers memorial in D.C. But, In all honesty, your parents name will be a reminder to other officers to maintain the oath they swore and to stay along the shoreline that has guided them from childhood to that of a local, state, or federal law enforcement officer."
but he then goes on to say
"I never had the opportunity to have a family of my own, I'm terminating yours."
Makes it sound like he's saying "hey kids and family members of corrupt cops, they are bad people...oh btw I'm going to kill you too because I'm actually a total dick and all my talk of morals and clearing my name is bullcrap." Though he could be stating "I'm terminating yours by killing the corrupt cop in your family" and not the entire family...time will tell I guess.
CNN goes on to state
"This is perhaps the most direct threat, one that police say Dorner has carried out already.
He is telling LAPD officers that he will target their mothers, fathers, sisters, brothers and children. He names some of them, including retired officer Randy Quan, whose daughter may have been the first victim."
So yeah...that doesn't sound good. It's still possible he didn't kill those innocent people...for all we know some corrupt cops did it and are blaming it on him...which, according, to him as well as some actions we've witnessed from the LAPD, sounds within the realm of possibility.
In any case anyone here who doesn't doubt either side (cops or Dorner) to some degree and is 100% on one side...well they can't possibly know 100% so they are kidding themselves. The only side I'm 100% on is innocent people (civilians, cops, you name it) and I hope Dorner gets captured and this all stops.
