And for my own personal peevish thingy... People actually do always assume that I have some type of college education... When I've not stepped into once college classroom or taken a course even my entire life. I just (Outside of math...) paid attention in high school.

That's what I find frustrating in dealing with the Trumpistas and their ilk. I'm not asking them to have accumulated the knowledge and expertise of specialists in rigorous and deep fields. I'm not aking everyone to be a virologists, astronomers, physicists, medical doctors, historians, law professors or constitutional scholars.

All I'm asking is for my fellow Americans to PAY THE **** ATTENTION TO THE WORLD. You don't have to be aware of everything, but you have to have a baseline of knowlede and understanding of some things in the modern world. Just having a basic understanding of something as fundamental as the laws of the conservation of matter and energy alone would help us as a society to better "get" what climate change is and why it's happening. Most of society followed along with a call to war in the Middle East without the important information that Islam is riven with schism, and thus most didn't even know the difference between Sunni and Shia. Despite it being all over there are so many saying things like "We've never had ANYTHING like this happen before in the country" despite the Spanish Flu killing more than WWI.

It's like... I'm in the literal sense "uneducated".

I don't know about the us, but the uk's plan is to track and trace to find where hotspots of the virus is. Whether that is a school factory, office etc... test everyone and their contacts. Quarantine them and shut down the location if needed, rather than shut down whole areas. This requires the numbers to be low in the first place.

I beg to disagree. You may be, in a scholastic capacity, officially uneducated. But I think you are most certainly a very intelligent and thoughtful person.
Nobody needs letters after their name or pieces of paper from a school, college or university to be intelligent.

Yeah I was just coming by to say I'm confused. I thought the whole point of shutting down and all was because even if your asymptomatic that you can spread the disease
