Most of the people on my street have their lights off like me. Nice to know I'm not the only one who chose to skip giving out candy this year. We just couldn't see a really safe way to do it.

I think the strong anti-mask sentiment in the United States is a perfect example of the root cause of much of the country's woes.

America takes the ideal of individualism to an unhealthy extreme. If the idea of collective responsibility to each other was more prominent in the culture then I think the U.S would have handled the coronavirus outbreak and more longstanding societal issues much better.
