Corona and other diseases

Another 8500 for Florida today. Be safe Florida people.

Also found another video of a white woman throwing a temper tantrum at a grocery store because she was told to wear a mask. Threw a bunch of stuff in her cart onto the ground. Sadly, can't post it due to language. But good lord, is the attack on education paying off in stupid ways.
I can't even believe that this crap even still happens after all this time. How many have to die before they start to get it?

Best possible way to react of course.

Target store selling facemasks with a mirror to show how it looks on you before buying
I need to see this, because it honestly reads kind of harmless to me, but I am trying to picture it and I can't. Which is probably a bad sign.

There is no amount. They only care about themselves. They'd sadly only stop if they are personally effected, and even then it might not be enough for them to stop being awful.

Pretty much a rack of face masks with a mirror so you can see how it looks on you... These masks aren't packaged and no telling who's face has been in it.

Has anyone here read the story about the lady that started cussing out a Starbucks employee because she was denied service due to her not wearing a mask?

I still don’t understand what’s going on in California. They’ve been on lockdown longer than anyone and aren’t even close to coming out of it. I’m so glad New Yorkers got their act together. It was a tough 3 months but honestly feels good to know we are re-opening safely.

California is a big place. I think the previous epicenters weren't in LA. Even then, it is a lot of people.

Some false sense of security too I think factors in. I think Angelinos are of the mindset that one drives everywhere. You drive someplace for a godaweful time to then walk around another place for a few hours and then back. Traveling is solitary for many. Unlike New York, Boston, Philly, with large mass transit systems of buses and trains. I bet many thought this would protect L.A. from the worst of it.

I dunno either. I live down here and I remember being downtown LA when the S*** first hit the fan and it was like a scene out of The Last Man on Earth (no zombies though). I was driving back to my mom's house in Orange County (south of LA) around 8AM and took some pics while I was driving (my bad). There was literally no one within 1/4 to 1/2 mile to me at and around the Harbor and San Diego Freeway interchange. If you've ever been on the freeways in LA at that time, you'll know just how frelling BIZARRE that is.

Now, not so much and there's a lot of traffic. I think people changed habits. Typical SoCal dude......tries to figure stuff out by car traffic.

So basically the US has treated the response to COVID like its response to gun violence and mass shootings. The rest of the world has figured it out, and its citizens comply for the greater benefit to society. Meanwhile the US throws its hands up and says, there’s nothing we can do, we just have to learn to live with it for the price of freedom.

I hate to say it, but in a way it feels fitting that we’ve gotten to the point where we have Donald Trump as our president. We glorify crass selfishness and stupidity.

I wonder how it works in other countries. Clearer air maybe? :o

That’s why Trump has been such a high profile figure all his life embraced by news and entertainment shows way before he thought about running for president. All that is also what created the platform enabling him to achieve his wishes. Idiotic loudmouths are rewarded too often.
