They may find something that lessens it or makes it not deadly and more akin to a flu during that time, but it'd be something we'd just have to live with. Once it hit 6%, it started to drop and I started checking daily rates. They dropped to about 1%, but there are some jumps here and there.

I wonder if the virus' mutations have made it somewhat less severe, or if there's other factors at work like hospitals getting a better understanding of what works and doesn't work in terms of trying to help patients.

I think a large part of it was because in April it was rampaging through nursing homes, whereas now the people getting it are younger and healthier.
