Corona and other diseases

I think it's only a matter of time before booster shots will eventually be recommended from Pfizer, Moderna, and Johnson and Johnson .

I know that potential prospect bursts alot of people's bubble's, and that notion has outraged alot of media pundits and journalists.

But I wouldn't be surprised , given how the virus is still evolving, if booster shots will, at the very least, be recommended for older vaccinated individuals.

It may not happen in the immediate future, but I wouldn't be surprised if it does end up happening eventually.

We will have booster shots. I am sure they will be backed by science. And when my time comes, I'll get it. Because even if it is only 1% increase overall, it's something.

I think the same thing. It's the same reason we get flu shots every year. No one should really be surprised by this. :)

I honestly would be more surprised if we don't require boosters. I always figured as much. Like you said, we get flu shots every year so there isn't much reason to expect anything different here.

And they spread it to others as they have since Day 1.

Republicans Are Wiping Themselves Out As Delta Variant Surges In Red Areas And GOP
99% of Delta Variant Cases Are In The Non-Vaccinated
CBS News reported, “The Delta variant now accounts for more than half of the new coronavirus cases in the United States —52%. Almost all of the new cases — 99.7% —are among people who have not been vaccinated…The effort comes as cases are rising in 26 states. Hospitalization rates are up in 17 states — 27% in Florida, almost exclusively among the unvaccinated. ”

Is this happening anywhere else in the world? I don't mean a certain amount of the population not wanting the vaccine for whatever reason (scared, lazy, etc.). No country will ever get everyone to take it. I mean where a significant faction is actively fighting against the vaccine for political reasons.

The vaccine hesitant and the anti vaxxer movements are incredibly strong at the moment. Despite it being 2021, there are so many who clearly believe more and more crap useless superstitions than actual science that is saving us. It’s astonishing.

I am in a high vaccinated area and despite this there are so so many young folks without any masks walking around indoors and in close groups/crowds outdoors too. There’s just no common sense. Our entire vaccine progress is being undone before our very eyes..

Yeah. I'd be interested in hearing from people in countries about how this is affecting them. I have friends in other countries and it always amazes me how much more they are interested in US news than people in the US are interested in theirs. Some self centeredness going on there and, frankly, it's a bit of a dangerous mindset.
