Agree regarding Reilly-spidey's costume. House of M Spidey was also awesome, as was pretty much every costume from Secret War.

The Spidey armor though was pretty lame, and Punisher wearing big white gloves and boots is not only lame lame LAME but it contradicts the very serious tone that fits the character.
"I'm so dark and angry and vicious about my family being brutally killed.... So I guess I'll put on this LOVELY spotless white gloves and boots as I go about seeking my vengeance. They're just FABULOUS!"

 

[The Question]

I love the slight redesign US Agent got for that costume in Mighty Avengers. Making the black star into a gold "badge" is a nice symbolic visual, since John's always been the government hero, more so than Cap himself, who often clashes with the government. I kind of wish they'd give the costume some more military visuals, but every time I try to redesign it myself I wind up with an ugly Ultimates-looking costume.

To be fair, a not ugly Ultimates looking costume would fit him nicely, character wise.

Yeah. It's that big, square flag on his chest that screws it up. It's his most iconic feature, so you can't get rid of it or you wind up with stuff like his Force Works costume or his wannabe-Cap Invaders costume. But you can't really fit it around modern military gear. Or at least I can't.

The Reilly costume rocked. I think that one looks better than the classic Spidey look

The only things I didn't like about Ben's (and May's) Spider-Man(/Girl) costume are the half-boots and some-black, some-red fingers. Red webby gloves and boots that come up to a diagonal going from a high point on the outer calf to a low point on the inner calf would make that costume perfect.

Somebody on CBR said this was supposed to be the original colors and look for Ben Reilly.
