Crappy shows with sensative fan bases

haha, I was actually about to say the exact same thing. After I got into the new series, I tried to watch the original and turned it off in the middle of an episode because I just couldn't take it any more.

yeah, it's painfully bad.

Just finished a post in another thread on this very topic.

I throw into the fray, the original Battlestar Galactica, and it's oversensitive, nancy boy, hardcore fanbase.

It's possibly one of the worst shows ever (by todays standards). Maybe for it's time, it was a quality show. But by todays quality shows, the original BSG is one large lump of putrid trash. Much of this opinion is based on the fact that 99% of the cast can't act (cough# dirk benedict#cough).

And all these guys seem to do is ***** and moan about how the new series is terrible, and nothing like the original. And I ask why? The original was pretty bad, and is nothing, absolutely nothing, when compared to the new incarnation of the Battlestar Galactica
The guy who ran the counter at my LCS when I was a teen in the late 90's was old enough to have seen the old BSG when it was first on. He said even for the time it was low budget. The old BSG was an attempt to cash in on the original Star Wars craze. But it was so cheap the fleet footage was reversed stock from Silent Runnings.

That 70s Crap.

:wow: How dare you! It was kinda crappy near the end though. The 8th season was baaad :cmad:

I was watching it two days ago, and Hyde and Leo were playing Life, and said that he wanted to stop playing, and Leo said

"No way man, I like this life! I have kids! In real life my kids split on me."

and Hyde says

"Wow, really? My parents split on me."

And Leo says

"Hey... Do you wanna be my father?"

and Hyde says

"Sure."
