Several Days Later...
Scott stepped to the large bay window in the apartment that he now shared with Kayla and looked out over the city that he not only loved, but the city that he had literally given his life to protect.
As Scott rested and got his strength back, Kayla filled him in on what had been going on in his absence. As he had in disbelief to the events that had taken place over the last six months, it became clear to him that it would take some time to get used to his new surroundings.
Director Anderson was in prison for his role in the siege, as well as a number of other legal and ethical violations, and with his incarceration, STRIKE was no more, having been swallowed by other government agencies.
The Guardians were still active, working hard to repair the damage to the public trust that Anderson and STRIKE had caused. Though it was a daunting task, they worked hard to regain the trust of the people they had sworn to protect, and little by little, their efforts seemed to be paying off. The people of Lost Haven, and the world in general were beginning to show trust in the group again. Though though they still had their detractors, for the most part the public perception of the group had improved.
"Are you sure you're ready for this?" Kayla asked as she stepped beside him.
"No, not in the least. But I think it's time." Scott replied as he looked at his blue and silver clad reflection in the window.
He stepped forward, opening the large bay window. With a sigh, he took to the skies for the first time since he awoke. He couldn't help but to smile at the sensation of the wind in his face as he soared over the beautiful city.
He had changed the world when he first arrived in Lost Haven, and now he knew, that with his return from the grave, that he was about to change it all over again.
