Creationism FTW

I am a Christian but this is stupid. Men did not live with dinosaurs and they weren't on the arc. A day to create the earth may have been one million years in our time.
Yeah, if you believe an omnipotent Creator made the universe (in stages, for some reason) surely the exact time period is irrelevant. He could have done it in 144 hours if he'd wanted to, He's omnipotent. In fact it's weird that He didn't just do it all at once instantaneously. All-powerful but lazy, presumably

And thinking about it, I guess that if a day is an arbitrary period of time derived from the spinning of one of the planets that has not yet been created, it's interesting that he'd set it spinning and then go, "right, I've got the time it takes for the earth to revolve to make my next decision..."

I am a commited atheist. I dont care who any one else feels drawn to worship, but it aint for me. although i do confess that I find Bhuddists to be quite groovy.

But I have to ask this, from the creationists press release:

We’ll then explore why the Bible—the “history book of the universe”—provides a reliable, eye-witness account of the beginning of all things.

eye witness?

who? (or was that the infamous jehovah's witness we are told to be careful of?)

Gah, that is so stupid. :o

I suppose they can always wriggle their way into it being true by saying that, well, God was there at the very begining, and he inspired the words that were written down.

"Eye-Witness" :whatever:
This is the kind of intellect we're dealing with here. :o

Theists who deny science are idiots. Theists that accept science and incorporate it into their spiritual beliefs aren't the ones that bomb abortion clinics or join the KKK. Science is fact, incorporating those facts into a belief makes a good combination IMO, which is what I am. I believe in evolution, but I don't believe I came from a monkey...which Science has yet to prove. Science says dinosaurs lived millions of years ago while man lived only thousands of years ago. Whose to say 1 day to create the earth isn't really 100 million years? Or it took 1 day to create all the animals...it could be another 100 million years in our time.

dude, primates not monkeys.....

^I don't know all the different primate species...I thought we shared some 98% of our DNA with a chimpanzee anyways?

Doesn't it have to do with a prehensile tail. I could kick some @ss with a tail.

What idiots donated money to fund that crap is what I am wondering? Yes, Noah put a 300,000 ton brontosaurus on his ark.

300,000 tons? Did they really weight that much? (I'm not being an ass, I'm asking)

He's got an agenda. :ninja:
