Yes the invisibles is Yahs, I did a thread on it in a certain other place you still frequent, if you want to look there. The Warchowskis stole from lots of places.

Ellis' work on Transmet is great, but he can't write anything decent that isn't his own creation.

Morrison stands alone with St. Swithin's Day in my opinion...

But his work on Invisibles, Animal Man (issue #5, "The Coyote Gospel" is a remarkable read), Arkham Asylum, and Aztek (a great DC title that ended too early ).

If it weren't for a few gems that Ellis created on his own, I'd consider him to be a too-bit hack if I based my opinion on his Marvel/DC works.

Actually, I don't think any of the characters in Authority are his own creations. Although, I might be wrong. And, many of the characters in Planetary were based on already existing characters, and he did fine with them.

This is a damn tough one, but I'm going with Ellis. What I've read of Transmetropolitan is amazing. Add The Authority and Planetary to the list and I'm sold. We3 and Arkham Asylum were amazing, but Ellis just takes the cake.

"Scatophilia" isn't a real word, as far as I could tell. It sounded odd to me, so I looked it up. I didn't use "coprophilia" in the first place because I'd gotten it confused with "coprophage," which is something that could be better or worse, depending on how you look at it.

Oh you dirty bastard. How can I vote on this? Morrison's JLA is unstoppable, as are his Animal Man, Doom Patrol, Arkham Asylum, Kid Eternity, Seven Soldiers, and Seaguy but so is Ellis on Hellblazer, Planetary, Desolation Jones, Authority, Fell, and Bad World.

I guess in the end I go with Morrison, but just barely.
