Critics' Reviews: Discussion

"Deadpoop..." I actually think I like this better than Barakapool! :D

The only thing the Deadpoop bonus ending is going to do is rub salt into the wounds of all the fanboys who Fox ticked off. All it shows is that Deadpoop survived, and does nothing to address the fact that he's an insult to the character except that his mouth is no longer stitched shut. It still doesn't change the fact that Deadpoop is a mutli-powered super mutant with blades in his arms.

Nice going Fox... You can't even get a cop out right!

Ok Harry Knowles won't even watch it and review it what does this tell you? Can we seriously start a boycott Fox group?

He's updated saying he'll see it. He was just pissed he didn't get an invite.

I think it was alright. We know he is alive, he breaks the fourth wall. His eyes are badly scorched so I doubt the optic blasts work anymore. And the arm blades can be easily rectified. What's the problem?

The problem is... it's NOT Deadpool. Since when Deadpool can teleport?

Hahah volgens mij ben ik de enige die wat heeft aan die Nederlandse reviews, Retro.

WOW!~Thanks Retro, I've been wondering what the Dutch media thought. BTW, is it me or is there a huge amount (tv spots etc) of advertising on Dutch tv? Last night X-Men and X2 on tv and tonight X3.

Wolverine and Watchmen share some very blatant story elements...I wonder if the critics who complained that watchmen was too complex are now realizing that Wolverine is what you get when you treat the subject matter like a popcorn flick.

Ebert said he's not sure why Wolverine is the number one most popular comic character, and that someone must've obviously stuffed the ballot box.

Ebert said what? OUCH!!

Also, the only thing that would make me want to watch the sequel to this thing, Wolverine In Japan, is if it involves Wolves saving schoolgirls from tentacle monsters....

Yes, I disliked it that much...

Since his first solo comic.......

I thought his teleportation ability came from a device on his belt buckle though, and was not an actual power? Sorry if I sound silly, but I'm not terribly familiar with Deadpool's comics....

And people thought the reviews for Watchmen were disappointing. Ouch. :o

Not that I'm surprised totally. It is a mediocre movie, but I thought it was better than X3 which got better reviews three years ago, I guess Iron Man and TDK (and maybe Watchmen) has soured critics to settling for this. Then again in 2006 we had SM1, SM2, X1, X2 and BB and they still mostly gave that movie a pass, so I'm still skeptical of their validity on these movies.

Oh well. Ebert's review was scathing!

omg. i usually don't care for critic's reviews but when you get 38% on rotten tomatoes, something went terribly wrong.

This movie is only 4% higher than the new Matthew McConaughey movie at RT.

You know, I thought the movie would get plenty of bad reviews but I didn't X-pect it to get much under X3.

Can't say that I'm surprised but still 37%? Yikes!

StarTrek just added another positive review and Wolverine can't catch a break.

Regardless of the reviews, the projections for this weekend are still pretty good.

I wouldn't expect a big, like really big dropoff until second weekend.

I expect a s**t weekend multiplier though. But I agree with you as I'm still predicting 90mil.

Can't say I'm surprised. Harry wasn't even going to review it at first.

WOLVERINE isn't an embarrassingly awful film, not for me. It doesn't make me feel embarrassed to like X-MEN comics or the character of the Wolverine... It just feels limp, empty and completely lacking in satisfaction. That said, it is much better than the draft i had read that made me fear for even worse.
