Y'know, I always thought it'd be cool if they made a Spider-Man/X-Men crossover. It could even be a trilogy, and I was also thinking that it could be based on Spider-Man TAS, the Mutant Agena and Mutants Revenge, or something like that. I even started writing my own script, what do you think?

Noobie idea from a newbie poster... sorry but no... cross overs don't work on the big screen

who're you to judge? you never know! btw, if you say that this won't work, that's saying Batman/Superman will never work! also, just cause I'm a newbie doesn't mean I'm not a newbie to forums! I'm sorry if I'm being a bit too much about it, but I just think it's an interesting idea! I'm not saying that it has to happen!

^Well you might have a point there but I still think it is a bad idea

Well, I'm not goin to say you're wrong, because you're probably right! lol But you never know.

The reason it can't and won't work is because of studios. Batman and Superman are both at the WB. Spider-Man is Columbia and X-Men is Fox. You would never get an agreement of profit distribution. Plus you would have Marvel taking a bigger slice by using 2 comic franchises.

The studios know they can make more by making their own movie with the characters they own.

I don't think it would work for just a few reasons.

1. different companies would have to come togeather which wouldn't work.

2. there would be no good storylines to come up with on film.

3. I doubt directors would want to do it. there would be alot of work involved.

I can see your point bro, but there is a good storyline, although it's been done, it's not much different than basing movies on comics, but the Mutant Agenda like I said from the Animated Series is pretty good.

Getting good storylines or directors would never be a problem. There are plenty of talented writers and directors who would love to do an interesting story. Personally I am not as fan of the X-Men movies so I would never want to see Spidey anywhere near Singer's X-Men.

However, the only real obstacle is studio rights. Both studios would have to split the profits and responsibilities, it's just too much to work out. Like I said, the studios can make more by making their own films to which they own the rights. Plus, both film franchises have such different tones and are not set in the same movieverse.

I'm not the biggest X-Men fan either, but I do find them pretty cool! I think it'd be awesome if they did a crossover. Actually, another idea that I thought of, is if one day Marvel owns all rights to all their characters' movies, and they decide to make them all connected in some way, just like the comics, It'll never happen, I know, but it's still an idea.

I think a logical crossover could be Daredevil. Watcing the two of them battle the Kingpin of crime and his crime syndicate. Imagine the vast array of villains that could appear.

I REALLY would like to have Kingpin in a future Spidey movie.
