What's up with the "Cup of Joe" column?

He never has anything interesting to say, and it's always -- inevitably -- just a shill for more Marvel books.

"Hey, working on this comic was really exciting...you know what else is exciting? everything else Marvel does...why not buy some comics?"

Wow. Could we have an interview about the making of the comic, or something? Drawing tips? anything?

You could say the same thing about Didio's columns in the back of DC books.

Joe's have not been consistent though in the last 2 years or so.I just remember them in the bookends of CW and some early issues of Young Avengers and Ultimates 2.

This thread isn't worth reading.

Closing....

Perish the thought. It would be a reign of tyranny the likes of which have never been seen.

I would make him my puppet. He would be the Bush to my Cheney. I would have him delete threads and ban users of my choosing.

It might be what this forum needs.

:whatever: This plan isn't even original. ASSHAT has already designated Anubis for Modship. He will do what we ask, for a 15% discount at The Gap.

Oh, he listens. It's just that he listens to our wallets instead of our words. And they say different things a lot of the time.

Like, I'm sure he even thinks Wolverine: Origins sucks.:csad:

Wow. How dare an Editor in Chief in charge of promoting Marvel's books promote Marvel's books in a column he writes to promotes Marvel's books. That's just ludicrous. It's almost like he's, I dunno, trying to do his job?

Exactly. "People talking on the internet" does not equal "The fans", not as a whole. Sales figures do.

You might not like certain books, and you might find a couple dozen people who agree with you, but meanwhile there's tens of thousands of people buying the damn things and they seem to enjoy it since they keep showing up month in and month out.
