curious about the Lucifer books.....

So I am currently reading the Sandman books and am enjoying them very much. I just finished Season of mists which I thought was spectacular and one of the first things I said to myself was that I wish the character of Lucifer was expanded upon down the line. After some researching I found out that Lucifer like Sandman did indeed have his own ongoing series which was collected in 11 trades. So did anyone read these? And if so are they any good, are they similar to sandman and would you recommend them as worthy of being purchased?

They're totally awesome and great and you should go buy all of them, right now.

Not quite the same in tone as Sandman but most of the differences are what you'd expect from the book having Lucifer as its main character.

The series is quite good. It's much more similar to Sandman than it is to any other title I can think of off the top of my head, but it's not completely comparable. I think you'd probably enjoy it.

Seems like most people seem to like them, so after I finish Sandman I think I'm definately going to give them a try. One thing though, Does anyone think in the near future that they will collect the Lucifer trades in 4 absolute versions like they did with Sandman? It seems that will the similarities between the two series, and the lengths that It would be a smart marketing plan for DC to do this? If so I would definately just read the trades then buy the absolutes later.
