CD Projeckt Red Cyberpunk 2077

7PM EST, right after I'm done working. Good timing. :D

Crazy to think we will be playing it next week finally. Very exciting

Has everyone thought about what they’re going to make their avatar look like? I really want to make mine full 1980s corpo like this

Funny thing is after all these delays to perfect it 90% of gamers can't get their hands on a PS5 of XsX so they either have to wait to buy the game or they will be forced to play an inferior version of the game.

With a PS5 or XsX you will be playing an inferior game anyways. The next gen versions come out next year. So it will run better, but still not what it could be. Nowhere near high end PCs.

I just got my hands on a super high end graphics card, but the PC itself isn't fully updated yet, so for the time being I'll be playing the PS4 version on my PS5.

I think the Gamespot review and little roundtable they have is interesting, because it sounds like a good example of why the whole "create a character" thing was rather unnecessary and well, maybe even pointless? It sounds like the gameplays out narratively like the Witcher 3, which means the variance in your V doesn't sound all that big.

It does sound like it is in dire need of a day 1 patch. If not more.

I was really considering going digital with this considering how badly I want to play this, but CDPR does such a fantastic job with their physical releases, that a 10 hour difference, one of which Ill be sleeping for most of, won't make a big difference. They always pack their physical copies with so many goodiess.

also, I was planning on doing Nomad, but now I'm leaning towards Street Kid. still not 100% sure what I'll do haha.

How exciting! I’ve never preordered digitally before so I’m looking forward to the preload on PlayStation any day now!

Glad it received acclaim. I had little doubt before, but it's nice to see agreement among critics. As for bugs, I'm sure CDPR will iron them out if not in day 1 patch, then in coming months. I lived through my beloved Troika games, it's not big deal.

In the end, if it will be too frustrating on launch, I'll just put it away for some time and return to it a few months later. This strategy worked for me in case of The Witcher 2.

That's where I'm at as well, but with GOG's fantastic 30-day refund policy, I might just get my money back (and I still get to keep the game...)

I'm more worried about performance than bugs.

Why do you need a buggy game? I mean, it's obvious they will keep patching it in coming months. You refund it and you won't get any updates.

I'm using that Shadow cloud gaming service and just upgraded to an RTX so I may have to go ahead and get this now.
