CD Projeckt Red Cyberpunk 2077

The eye options for this game are... not what I was expecting.

I found an eye option to my liking. Though, the iris options are quite something. :hehe:

Played for about three hours and haven't encountered any game breaking bugs, but there's this one where you cannot loot items even though the white icon shows up... Performance also seems fine on my end (native 4K at 60FPS with mixed settings). Game is gorgeous and can't wait to enter the big city as I'm still in the starting area of the nomad life path.

Cyberpunk 2077 Epileptic PSA

This is an article written by the GI employee that had a seizure because of the game. I know some here were upset about her being put at risk, but its worth reading her own words. She seems to take it in stride, and admits she purposefully plays games that she knows could cause a grand mal seizure. She doesn't let the risk stop her from enjoying games she loves. Her article also details specific things in the game that could trigger a seizure. Even if you don't have epilepsy I know from experience that certain colors and flashing lights can trigger optical migrains or plain ol head splitting migrains. Anyone here that has migrains triggered by lights or flashing may want to read the article.

CDPR must update this game so people can avoid this. The worst offender in the game is called the "Brain Dance". Its when the character plunges into the memories of others. Its accomplished by way of a headset. At the start of the brain dance the headset uses lights and flashing to initiate the brain dance. This is based on a real medical tool used to induce seizures. I get the inspiration CDPR took and it makes some sense that a device such as this brain dance headset may need to trigger parts of the brain for the brain dance to work. It makes a kind of logical sense. But no matter how much sense it makes in universe, its too big a risk for players. Either the brain dance flashing lights needs to be adjustable or entirely optional or skippable, or CDPR must completely change the Brain Dance. Its that simple, and no amount of hand wringing or shallow apologies or lawyer speak from CDPR is going to change my mind about this. Until they do change this or make it safe every game review should mention it in bold, every game journalist should bring it up in interviews, and retailers in particular should put a big warning on their copies of this game letting customers and parents know the risk that comes with playing this game.

Long story short, **** CDPR for letting this game go to release with such a dangerous feature. They should be raked over the coals for this.

I read that a few days ago and its alarming. It seemed like they really replicated something that is being used in real life (in hospitals) to activate seizures and didn't notice that they did until a reviewer eXperienced a seizure. Its bad enough first person perspective gives me literal headaches but this is something else.

Is the PS5 version getting a physical copy or is it just going to be a digital upgrade?

Ok cool. I already going to pick up my copy in a few hours so I was wondering. Thanks for the reply.

got mine this morning (PS4) gonna dive into it this weekend

I was expecting a poor man's Deus Ex and that's exactly what I got as far as combat and stealth are concerned. The shooting has no heft to it but it's passable. AI is super dumb though.
Mr. H's early videos were like Alien and Predator lore videos, Cthulhu/HP Lovecraft type stuff. Then he got into the gossip and rumor BS and using rumors from people like Grace Randolph and f'n Doomcock.

Also, Mr. H liked THE PREDATOR.

As for Cyberpunk 2077 -- the game should've been third person :p

MR H has gotten fairly insufferable. Love his lore videos but he's become a bit if a **** over the years

Its hard for me to believe that in 8 years with thousands of employees and industry people developing and testing this game not a single person was effected by that brain dance. Or that someone at CDPR didn't realize the risk of putting a real life seizure inducing device on screen in a first person game.

Side note, this game has hard crashed on me once. And the audio mix needs some work. Random NPC conversations can be heard through floors and multiple walls. I just walked down to a lower floor in Lizzie's Bar through 3 doors and a flight of stairs, and could hear an NPC on an upper floor talking on the phone to her mom. No quietly. It sounded like I was right beside the NPC. I've had this happen multiple times.

Gonna go back to focusing primarily on Valhalla while I wait for this game to get its patches, they really should've pushed this game to 2021. Have seen a number of visual bugs, a few crashes, tutorial texts just staying on the screen permanently, forcing me to load the most recent save to get rid of them, etc.

Tried the game. There was health warning about epilepsy in the beginning, by the way. Almost finished the corpo prologue and loved it A LOT (though I basically skipped through the main stuff and didn't really explore or take my time). That being said, the game is a bit in rough shape. I get crashes every now and then and other bugs like AI and visual glitches, so I'll put it away for some time till they fix the most critical stuff. Real shame, because spoilers will be all over the internet and it will be hard to avoid them.

Will it?

I rarely if ever get randomly spoiled for something I am not lookin for. If I want to avoid spoilers, I just avoid Cyberpunk on social media, and not go to forums or reddits dedicated to it.

My original XBOX One S crashed on me quite a few months back and luckily MS had their One X's on sale for the same price as the S. So, I was able to score the CyberPunk edition with a digital pre-order of the game for no additional cost.

Have to say, if I had actually ended up paying for this game, I wouldn't be too happy. I've experienced constant crashes and graphic hiccups galore. Hard to believe, with all the time they had (and multiple delays), this is what we ended up getting on release day.

I see. Well, I was spoiled on some stuff in the past, but it doesn't always happen. Largely depends on how big or popular something is. I can't stop using youtube, so I won't be surprised something will pop-up in recommended even if I don't click on it.

I feel sorry for anyone not playing this game on a nvidia card and a solid state drive. The console versions of this thing look like absolute ****.

Damn, Steam has 900 000+ simultaneous players. Insane for a single player game. CDPR probably already returned it's production and marketing budget.

Installing it the install is like Red Dead 2 you have install 2 discs and then play with the 1st disc

for anybody who has Forza Horizon 4 you can unlock the hero car in a race called night_city.exe on the main map (top right corner of it so you do not have to look)..

Surprisingly I hear this plays great on Stadia
My brother mentioned this and said it is probably because it is able to optimism to your specs.

I think it is shady as hell they wouldn't let reviewers use their own footage of the game. They were trying to hide the poor state of this one and.. ugh. Most people will be playing this consoles.

won the Cyberpunk car in a race this race is tough but a tip that will help you win it, lower the AI to avg or below avg you will still win the car in a race unlike the seasonal challenges where you have to win 3 dif races in highly skilled.
